Wonderful CL for our first trip post lockdown and in our "new" Motorhome

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the beautiful, quiet, relaxing Laurel Cottage. Hats off to Phil for being so welcoming and for one of the best kept CLs we have stayed on. We traded up our old Majestic 140 for an Bailey approach Autograph 745 during lockdown so were really looking forward to our first proper trip away. So, not only were we delighted with the new van, but also spending our first trip away at Laurel Cottage. The site is beautifully laid out with stunning flower beds and grass that is like a snooker table! 3 great walks done, to Ivinghoe Beacon, Mentmore (and the site of the Great Train Robbery at Bridego Bridge) and into Ivinghoe itself along the bridleway. The Village Swan pub, 5-10 minutes walk away had also just opened up, under new ownership, and we were welcomed by the new hosts as we sampled our first post lockdown pub pints (recommend the Tring Brewery Side Pocket) in the beer garden whilst watching Red Kites wheeling above us. The Old School Curiositea Tea Rooms also served a very nice latte, and the Rose and Crown (where we had stopped almost a year ago when staying on another local site) also served a very tasty Chiltern Pale Ale. All in all, a fabulous few days, in a spectacular area for walking and scenery, great site, 2 excellent pubs, what more could we ask for? Thanks again, Phil, we'll be back! Chris and Carolyn
