1 night stay

Stayed for 1 night, booking very easy with bank transfer. Perfect lawned field with no grass cuttings, shaded from the wind. Very peaceful stay listening to the owl. All you need here water drainage electric and elsan for £18 about right price. Poor wifi on all our phones but no big issue. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area.

Nice quaint CL site

Booked our first, after Covid trip, to this quaint little site situated on the road up to Brimham rocks. Arrived and located our van in the only place left. Others had placed there's facing the cow field we preferred the traditional way. Facilities, there is drinking water tap, a grey waste disposal and a toilet waste disposal. All located behind a gate in the top of the field. Each pitch had its EHU which did blow quite easily even though I'd set the van to 1amp. But it was only when the wife was drying her hair really. Road outside the site is the main road to Brimham rocks and we did notice a lot of traffic but it wasn't that loud just a bit hairy going for a walk with the dogs. We didn't do much exploring to protect the community but we did go up to the rocks and found a nice quiet walk away from the hustle a bustle. Nice site with friendly owners. No Toilets but I've found a very good use for the rubber gloves and masks we all have now.

Perfect CL

Just spent nine nights at this wonderful CL site. We had a warm welcome from the owners. The site is very much a lawn and well kept. There are five extremely well spaced out pitches. Four have a 6amp hook up and one has 10 amp. We chose the pitch next to the services, so we didn’t have to cart the aqua roll too far. The 6amp hook up was enough for us but we couldn’t use the microwave oven and had to be mindful of the electric consumption, so we dropped the alde water heater down to 1kw and swapped over to LPG when we needed hot water and the electric griddle at the same time. The area has everything for everyone such as walking, cycling and even shopping at nearby Harrogate. There is so much to do within a ten mile radius there will never be a dull moment and this site is the perfect base to explore. The one true oasis in the desert and a wonderful night off break from cooking was a pub a few miles down the road that has a Chinese Takeaway or eat in for an extra 20%. The pub is called the ‘ye olde oak inn’. The food was top quality and being able to enjoy a pint of well kept Theakstons, whilst waiting for your order was even better. The owners of the CL site sell fresh eggs to people on site for a pound a box and they are just the best we have ever tasted. On our leave day we asked what time they wanted us off site and we got a very welcoming carte blanche, so we took it very steady packing up, watched a bit of telly, had a snooze, gave the van a wash and finally pulled out somewhere around 4pm. Well done to the owners, they have GOT everything spot on at their brilliant CL SITE.

Our first CL - Amazing!!!

Our first time at a CL Site. We live in Bedale so wanted something within 30 mins drive of home. We are keen walkers so access to Brimham Rocks was the reason behind choosing this site. It was a 5 mile walk to the rocks and the weather was amazing! Lawns Farm: What a lovely site - Located next to a quiet country lane it had amazing views of the Nidderdale Valley. A working farm with all the animal noises to go along made the stay truly tranquil. The onsite facilities included Water / Waste / Rubbish and recycling facilities. Them toilet disposal and 6 Amp EHU. The grass was immaculate and the whole site was so well kept. I doubt we will visit a Club site again! Thank you so much Richie & Julie (And Monty the Labrador)

An enjoyable stay.

Just to say thanks to the other reviewers, their comments were spot on in recommending this site and the sunny pitches. As already said the owners are friendly, the pitches are large and the site is very good value. 6 amp supply was ample for us, this is around 1500 watts. No toilets or showers but CDP was clean and neatly fenced off. We cycled from the site to Harrogate which was about 8 miles each way, most of which was off road on a nice cycle track. It was roads (some hilly) to Ripley Castle about 3 miles away then flat and off road to Harrogate. We really enjoyed it. We stopped off at the pub on the way back which is about 1 1/2 miles from the campsite.

New CL - wont dissapoint.

Extremely peaceful as we were the only van for 6 nights, then we acquired neighbours! This new site is well worth a try if you are visiting Nidderdale, Brimham Rocks, Harrogate & surrounding area. Friendly owners, lovely free range eggs & home grown fruit. Easy access, large level grass pitches. Agree with previous comments about signage, electricity & sunshine. But would recommend to any of our friends & will return when we do another family visit to Harrogate. Thank you.

Lovely CL

A lovely, peaceful CL.  A quiet setting , very fresh & clean looking, well cared for & nicely cut grass.  All the services are in a fenced off area.  A friendly welcome.  Pitches 4 & 5 get the best evening sun.  The entrance is not too easy to see as the signs & gate are set back.  It is the 2nd gate about 20 yards past the farmhouse.  Pitches 2-5 only have 6 amp electricity which is very limited.  Pitch 1 has 10 amp so it is either power & shade or more sun & less power.  Other than this one little niggle, the site is perfect.

Lovely CL

What a great spot, if you are looking for a CL near Harrogate, then look no further. This site is well maintained and the owners are so friendly and so willing to help you. Places nearby to eat and plenty of good walks are close to the site, great if you have a dog.

A proper CL in a great location!

We spent Easter weekend at Lawns Farm and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lesley and Paul are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Pitches are large, with loads of room between outfits and Paul allowed us to park as we liked. There are stacks of things to do in the area, although our grandson was more than happy to kick a ball about the field and feed the horses and chickens over the fence. There are some excellent walks straight from the site; the pretty village of Ripley is just up the road and boasts a castle, excellent butchers and fab icecream parlour; Brimham rocks is only a couple of miles away and easily walked; or you could spend a day in Harrogate with its lovely parks and shops. Overall, we think this is a proper CL in a great location! Tom, Jean & grandson Ethan
