Beautiful peaceful site

We very much enjoyed staying here, with a view of the field with sheep and lambs. Very peaceful as its away from the road, nice walks from the site. Site very well kept.

Scenic site

Nice peaceful site with lovely views. Signage to pitches could be more prominent & lower down the lane. Enjoyed watching the lambs.

Excellent site...

Loved our week on this site! Units are in a line, so not staring into another caravan, but over a field. Free wifi on the CL (take note, CC CLUB), and TV booster. Some great walking nearby, and Rosemary can supply eggs and homemade jam. Only gripe - could do with a freshwater tap at far end of site. It's a bit of a lug, dragging the aquaroll up the incline to pitch 1 - but will definitely be back...

Lovely CL

Just back from a three night stay on this lovely CL which we really enjoyed. The site is easy to access from the A65 but is far enough away not to have any road noise - at night the only sound we heard was a local tawny owl! That and a few rain showers, which is only to be expected in January. The hardstanding is a little deceptive as it's gravel with a thin layer of grass on top but, in wet weather, you need to take care not to drive off the hardstanding on to soft and somewhat squidgy grass - not having 4WD we chewed the ground up a bit trying to get back onto more solid ground... Rosemary was very understanding when we apologised for the slight damage and was both welcoming and friendly during the course of our stay. As was noted on an earlier review, WiFi is only available near the cottages - we did see a signal once but it was too weak to connect to. That said, mobile reception was fine with good 4G coverage so internet access wasn't an issue... Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will add this CL to our growing list of ones to be returned to... Many thanks Rosemary!

Love this CL

Peaceful and relaxing, we have stayed several times and have no complaints. Beautiful area, the owner respectfully leaves you to it unless you need information or help. Will keep going back.

Our Favourite Yorkshire Dales Site

We have used this site each time we visit this area of the Dales. It is so relaxing and uplifting to be surrounded by lovely views including Inglborough and Penygent. It is well placed and convenient for touring both the Dales and Forest of Boland. Great for walks and cycling and delightful Settle is nearby for shopping, plus various country stores/tea rooms along the A65. Rosemary is very welcoming and helpful. Well recommended.

Our perfect CL

We have been CL users for may years and this is probably our local favourite, having visited three times a year for the last 10 years at least. We love the views and general tranquillity of the location. It is great if you have kids: they will enjoy the playground, football pitch and games room. There are walks direct from the site including access to the Ribble Way.

Great position, but needs more input from owners.

Visited April 2016. Lovely village, long approach drive, beware overhanging sycamore tree, which has been hit in the past. Lovely position, and area, with views over surrounding fields full of lambs. Owners very nice, pitches are long established hard standings, now reverting back to nature a bit. My only concerns are the facilities. Under the water tap is mud. Also the chemical waste rinse is right next to the drinking water supply, with rinse hose wrapped around fresh water tap area. Price is at top end of normal, and certainly exceeds facilities, although this is a wonderful area to explore the Dales from. Overall a lovely area, which with just a little more thought and input by the owners would be a brilliant site.

Lovely CL but a touch over-priced

Lovely CL in terms of location and position, views down to a wooded area, very restful. The site is well maintained - grass cut short (and collected) all hard standings. Recycling facilities and easy access to water close by. Didn't get a TV signal but that was no hardship. There is a wifi signal by the cottages. I have stayed on other sites with lower charges (£12) with the benefit of additional facilities (toilet block/shower) so I think this site is slightly over-priced. Having said that I think I would visit it again for the peace and tranquility.
