This is a lovely site in a lovely village with 2 pubs! Lots to do in the surrounding areas.

We stayed on this site with our 2 dogs for 2 nights. The site is not far from where we live and is ideal for a weekend away in the lovely historic village of Horndon on the Hill. There are 2 Pubs in the village, a butchers, a small village shop selling groceries and a post office. We went in The Bell pub as they allow dogs in. They serve very nice beer and food. We bought our dinner from the butchers, all very nice. A short walk from the site over a footbridge is Stanford Le Hope Station with trains to Southend on Sea, Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness and London. If you look online you will find lots of things to do in the surrounding areas. We met the owner of the site, a very nice and helpful man. There are apple trees on the site so you can make a nice apple pie or crumble while you are there! The site has a toilet and wash basin. We used the facilities in our caravan as it is easier for us, but it is handy that the site has a toilet. Really lovely site that we will be returning to, if not this year then several times next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.
