PERFECT

We stayed at this site for 2 nights, very warm welcome and lovely facilities. Perfect for current situation as only 5 caravans allowed and lots of space. Beautiful scenery and great for fire pits (provided by the site). Would highly recommend and will certainly come back.

Sadly not what it was

We have visited this site on a few occasions but not for a few years now. Sadly our view is that the site has gone down hill under the new management. The hot tub and pool are no longer available and , most importantly for us, the access directly from the site to Avon Heath is now closed. So what are we left with... a basic field, not very level, a tired and dirty toilet block and some good security gates. Overall we felt very little had been done to maintain the property in recent years, and to add to the woes the plot of land next door is being developed so currently looks very messy. A++++++ lovely place,

Just had 3 nights there, very welcoming nice people, good facilities, lovely little site, as people has said is some road noise and the kennels but this really isn’t any hassle, fire pits and wood to burn supplied, along with nice benches and shelters to sit out in, would recommend it 150% and definitely be back again, thank you and hopefully see you soon, Simon and Amy,

Another excellent stay

We love coming to this site as it’s small and private behind automated gates. Wendy and her family make you feel so welcome. The site is smack bang between the New Forest and the stunning beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbanks. This site is well worth a visit

7 days stay in end of October

We just spent 7 nights at Little Paddock and had a great time. Access roads were a doddle and the electric main gate gives a nice secure feeling. Wendy opened the gate and came to greet us to show us the available pitches and was flexible as to where we went with only one pitch reserved for some regular customers (a good sign in itself). Facilities on the site are fine with a nice clean toilet and shower block, good hook up, drinking water tap next to the toilet block, and all the usual disposal facilities. I must admit though, the grey water and chemical waste could've been better. It looked like folk were using the grey water disposal for emptying the toilet and the chemical waste was a bog sat over a drain that you poored into. We've stayed on only 3 CL's now and this setup was the least clean and well setup for easy discreet use. However, the Little Paddock site is a lovely picturesque place and has a real zen garden feel to it with a few little shelters and log burners for the evenings. My favourite thing was the beautiful Weeping Willow trees about the place! Couple of other things to note as I feel these reviews are here to be honest and helpful for caravanners to make the most informed decision possible. The site is very close to a very fast dual carriageway and there seems to be no shortage of boy racers and motorbikes. They go fast and loud into the evening but it will only bother you if your after real peace and seclusion. It's not so noisy it disturbs sleep, just not as quiet as you might like. The site is next to a kennel though they only bark at feeding time which didn't bother us. It says on the CC site that WIFI is available but in fact is only available if you have a signal booster of stand outside near the owners house. We'd stay again if passing through.

Great

From the moment we pulled up to the electric secure gates we though wow. The pitches as all grass with hookup separate shower and toilet blocks which good, clean and fresh smelling. There is an information hut with leaflet of attractions and also a supermarket locations for the area. Outdoor games for children like tennis. The the adults there are benches outside to relax as well as bbqs and small log burners for you to use which was nice.  There is a dog kennels next door but this didn't bother us and the dogs only bark at feeding time.  It is easily accessible and we used it as our base for visiting Weymouth and Bournemouth  Recommended would use again

Secure CL

Little Paddock has secure gates and is accessed by a keypad. Very easy access from the Motorway and an ideal stopover for the Isle of Wight ferry terminal at Southampton only 50 minutes away. Seperate shower/ toilets which are adequate,  not the best we have experienced but certainly not the worst. The site is all grass, mostly level but depending on which pitch you choose you may need levelling blocks. The site is located next to a dual carriageway and boarding kennels so it is quite noisy during the day but you do get used to it. Would probably use again .

Excellent CL site

I don't often write reviews but felt Little Paddock deserved a mention. I stayed the weekend just gone, the 28/29th November.  With an electric gated entry we knew Little Paddock was going to be a good site, the help we received on arrival was second to none. It was very wet so where to park up could have been an issue but with the help of a 4x4 and good planning we pitched easily. The offer of a cup of tea on arrival was a lovely touch and details shared about the site, the surrounding area and dog walks was extremely thorough and helpful. I will definitely be going back to Little Paddock, a definite jewel in the CL site crown. Yes there is a busy road along the bottom of the site but i can honestly say it did not worry us one bit. Once tucked up in your motor home the noise is very distant and even sitting outside eating our dinner it was not intrusive. Thank you for a very pleasant and easy stay at your site.

The Little Paddock, Ringwood ticks all the boxes...

The Little Paddock, near Ringwood, Hampshire is one of the Caravan Club’s Certified LocalPlacesOfInterest (CL) campsite which ticks all the boxes in terms of its facilities, including swimming pool and bar, and its warm welcome from its proprietors. The Little Paddock offers a camping field with its five pitches on three sides and although I’m not a regular ‘CLer’ and more used to hard standings for my motorhome rather than risking grass in the UK following winter rains, the grass pitches were fine April ’14, although a bit sloping. The toilet, wash-room and shower (one of each for men and women) are newly re-furbed, clean, heated and work well. Overall a very pleasant site (if a bit pricey) for a short stay to see the area with the downsides being the road noise from the Bournemouth Spur Road which may or may not be a night-time problem depending how light you sleep; and the adjacent road to The Little Paddock which has no pavement and is clearly a restricting hazard when walking, either day or night. A rear exit from the property is available to Ashley Health, but I don't think pubs or localk shops would feature on this route?

Nice but not the best

This site is not the best Caravan Club CL we have been on, despite having lovely owners, Bret and Sue and being fairly central for places to visit. • The adults only CL site is part of a complex including a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and bar area, the owners home with B&B rooms and 9 self-catering cabins. • You are told when you phone to book, about the noise from the dual carriageway which is adjacent and it is very noticeable, but you do get used to it, what we did not get used to was the constant barking of the dogs at the kennels right next door, although they were generally quiet at night. • Seven caravans and a tent were on the site one night • One male and one female toilet/shower/wash-hand basin only for use by the CL site and anyone using the pool/bar area. • The CL is used as a sports field for the whole complex, with a volleyball net in the centre (albeit it looks as if it has not been used for a while) and a table tennis table – whilst we were there a group staying in the cabins came onto the CL and played boules in the middle. • The grass is allowed to get quite long and when it is cut, the cut grass is not removed and therefore tramples into your van easily. • The bar is only routinely open Saturday evenings, otherwise you have to ask the owners to open it up. • There is an extra charge for use of the hot tub, on top of the £22 site fee. Overall the owners seem to be trying to be all things to all people and it’s not working, it’s not a site we would return to at this price with the constant chorus of the dogs.
