A peaceful break

We had a lovely 3 days staying at this CL. As other reviewers note, Mrs Peers is welcoming and helpful and it would seem that nothing is too much for her, as per usual there was a box of things we forgot and Mrs Peers was happy to provide washing liquid and a sponge for us. Facilities were great and the site is in a beautifully peaceful rural setting. Perfect location for visits to Folkestone, Canterbury, Ashford and all the lovely quaint villages in the Garden of England.

Wonderful Weekend Stay

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Little Rhode Farm. We were met by the very friendly owner who showed us where to pitch. Unusually for a CL there was a washing up room along with a gents toilet and ladies toilet and shower. There is also a collection of books in the washing up room which you are welcome to borrow. This is a beautiful site with a nice large field where my daughter and I played bat and ball as no one else was pitched on the grass area. We were blessed with beautiful weather which added to the lovely surroundings. For the walkers there is a footpath opposite taking you directly into the forest. We chose instead to walk across the fields to Elham which must rate of as one of the prettiest villages in Kent, not to be missed. The lane approaching the farm is a little narrow but it is only for 200 yards, we had no trouble with a 7.5 metre motorhome We had a great chat with the owner prior to leaving. I am sure we will be back

A true English welcome to a lovely site

I stayed here about a week ago for four nights. A wonderful and peaceful site. Mrs Peers is a lovely lady. Looking out for everyone, but not in an obtrusive way. A very pleasant and warm welcome. A lovely touch is the way in which one can find a small area between the trees and bushes to site your van for privacy if needed. Also the tables which are provided. It was lovely to sit out and eat breakfast in the sunshine. The site itself is very handy for the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel le Ferne, and also the Museum at Hawkinge - both well worth visiting. There are various other attractions close by, and the scenery is lovely as well. Be careful on the approach for the last couple of miles, and do not arrive before one pm. Turn right off the A 2068 at the now Esso (no longer Jet) garage, and take it easy from that point on. Look for the sign in Rhodes Minnis which says 'Cats Refuge' on a blue board and turn there. A great CL, and one to which I intend to return.

Will definitely come back

This is one of the nicest CL's we have stayed on. Mrs Peers is very welcoming and helpful - don't be put off by the narrow approach road, as she manages this very well with timed departures and arrivals to ensure that caravans don't meet in the middle! The site is well laid out and the pitches are very spacious and well maintained. The facilities block is well kept and provides everything that you might need. There was lots of information provided about local attractions, as there is so much to do and see nearby, and the site itself is very peaceful. All in all we had a lovely stay and can't recommend this site highly enough - will definitely be back!

Beautiful and Peaceful site

We had a lovely weekend at this site. Mrs Peers is really friendly and helpful, the site has good facilities, basic but just what you need. The location is amazing the site is kept really nice, perfect for a peaceful break. We will definitely be returning! We have a dog and he had a lovely time running around Lyminge forest, which was a short walk from the site. We couldn't have asked for nicer place. The road to the site is narrow, but Mrs Peers manages arrivals and departures to ensure that this is a minimal issue.

Brilliant CL

We stayed for a week in July and were very pleased with this site. Paula was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The toilets and shower block were nice and clean, with an information room next door very useful. We certainly will rebook this site again as it is so peaceful and tranquil. Lots of wildlife around the site and plenty of room in the field. But, beware the roads around the site are very narrow. Caravanner, Newhaven.

So peaceful

Lovely peaceful site, lots of space between pitches, choice of hard standing or grass pitches. The only sounds you hear are the birds. Lots to see around the area, good level walks along the coast paths or more challenging walks on the downs.

Stopover before Channel Tunnel Crossing

We stayed at Little Rhodes for 3 nights as a last stop in the UK before heading to France on the Tunnel. It's a shame this was our shortest stay at a CL in the UK before a year on the continent, as this was the nicest site we've stayed on yet! The site is set nicely in the sticks with a small village just 5 mins down the road and the Channel Tunnel terminal a short drive away. The site is a lovely little meadow with trees, squirrels, rabbits, horses and a vast array of birds chirping, even in October when we stopped. The facilities are spot on. Can't complain at all. There are also lovely walks that can be made without driving anywhere. Right opposite the entrance to the site is bridle way that will take you into a beautiful forest with miles of tracks running through it just waiting to be explored. We loved it here and will be stopping again! Make sure you read the instruction in your hand book. If you come in the wrong end of the lane you could get stuck.
