Ease of arrival/welcome

Highly recommended

We have stayed here several times now and highly recommend the site. We have stayed on both the CL and the adjacent (commercial) hard standing field and agree entirely with the recent comment (August 2013) about the confusion arising from changes in access codes for both the entry barrier and the washrooms. It's clearly good practice to regularly change the codes but a simpler way of informing everyone present would be welcome. Perhaps a text message to those present would be easier? The CL on grass looks a bit messy when full and the sloping field doesn't help, as there are no pitch markings or borders. However, when staying in the adjacent hard standing, even when full, we found it quite peaceful and relaxing. All site facilities are very good, though unless permission is given to dump waste water onto trees and shrubs, lifting waste water carriers onto the low brick walls that are also used for chemical waste is difficult. I would ask that the recycling bins are clearly marked for each type of waste and more may be needed as the popularity of the commercial site increases. Access to local cycling paths is excellent and all around is wonderful scenery for walks, cycling and recreation, especially when visiting the dams. It's hard to beat and is probably our favourite location of all. Overall, a truly beautiful location, great facilities and highly recommended.
