We rarely re-visit CLs as there are so many to choose from but we stayed here as sole occupants for three nights in September and we're going back in November! The weather was pretty miserable but we still count this as one of our best CL breaks ever! We had looked at the website before setting out so we had a good idea what to expect but the site was even better than we had imagined. The location is stunning, the owner is friendly and helpful and the site has all the amenities you could wish for, including a swimming pool! The CL is very handy for the beach; a fifteen minute walk or a short drive and you're there. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and interesting to explore. The little towns of Tywyn and Fairbourne are each around ten minutes away by car and we can thoroughly recommend Fairbourne's chippy and 'Indiana', the Indian restaurant. Barmouth is about forty minutes away; it has a splendid beach and some interesting little shops and is a great place to potter the day away. We booked the 'Sea View' pitch which had the best views but the other four pitches were all carefully placed and well spaced out - a couple of them had hard-standing. We have recommended this site to all our caravanning friends although secretly we'd prefer it if we could have it all to ourselves again!
