John. We stopped here on the 8th July for a few nights peace and quiet and we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, Mrs Foord was very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Great views.
First time visit
Stayed 4 nights recently and had a great time. As has been said, the approach through a small number of work units doesn't look inspiring but once on site, the stunning view looking across cereal fields towards Stockbridge makes up for it, helped by . hot sunny weather, clear blue skies and awesome sunsets. No issue with facilities as mentioned below, with electricity, fresh and waste rinse water all available so perhaps an old comment. This is a beautiful area, well worth exploring. We will certainly return here.

Simply Fabulous.
A lovely site, been going there every year for 20 years as a stop over on our way to Weymouth, it is simple but has fantastic views. Easy drive to Stockbridge for an ice cream and a dog walk!!!
Not A Farm
Not as described, it is a mini industrial site not a farm and with long grass and no drive over motorhome dump, this must be at their other site?
No walking available just a race track of a road with no pavement nor grass verge for safety.
After 2 days we know the name of every business on site, this being our only walk.
Beware 7 metre or above motorhomes you will be charged £4 per night more than your neighbour with his 8 metre caravan car and awning!
Illogical you may say but seemingly we use more electric, we have air con and other electric consuming devices!!! oh no we don’t.
But I do not come on holiday to argue this point and not be charged.
Will I be back no way.

Good, Better than first impressions suggest!
Owner friendly and helpful when booking. Gave clear instructions how to find the CL, which is tucked away behind some Industrial Units, just off the A30. Look out for FabTech sign as you approach. At first sight, Industrial units are a bit off putting, but CL is a pleasant grassed area, with EHU arranged around edge. Scenic views, and neither proximity of A30 or Industrial Units posed any noise issues. We visited in March, as a stopover when attending a family wedding. Weather had been very wet, but, we were able to park in such a way as to be on firm ground. We were only people there. One negative, the A30 is reasonably busy, and has no footpath and no street lights, so, walking to Stockbridge (about 1 mile) could be "exciting".
Great Cl
This site is great I have stayed here on many occasions over the past 20 years. Looking at the comments of others They are fact but this is a very nice CL if I wanted the services of a Licenced site I would stay on one not a CL. In my book very good value for money. The other site nearby Partridge rise is also very good Especially if you want a little more room.

Used as a stopover
We used this site as a stopover on the way home from Cornwall. The owner had given us directions when we booked so we found it easily. The grass was nice and short. There is a tap near the toilet emptying(not drinking water). Depending on which way you look, the view was really good one way but industrial units the other. There was plenty of room being only three units on site. Will use again. The only down side one of the other vans had an Alsatian and it was off the lead.
Disappointed
It wasn't that straightforward finding this site as there are no Caravan Club CL signs on the entrance. It is directly behind industrial buildings and is small with large trailers parked on the edge of the field. There were five vans on site when we arrived, a camper van left soon after our arrival, however the position vacated was too small with no room to put up our awning, we have a two birth caravan. We had booked this site for a week but were unable to stay and had to find an alternative.
Occasional stays
First time I stayed here the grass was very long, this seems to have been addressed and is now quite reasonable. There is a gentle slope which does not cause a problem. The site seems quite friendly. There are industrial units but these do not detract from the CL. The big down is the Chemical disposal which is just a pipe sticking out of the ground covered by a old steel drum there is no running water nearby so take your gloves also take some water with you if you need to rinse the cassette. Over the past 2 years I notice the cost has increased considerably but the facilities have not improved. You will need to travel up the road to the farm to pay.
