Night before our ferry

Stayed here the night before our ferry to France . Nancy the owner welcomed us and showed us the facilities.  There was only four units on the very large field. Very quiet , but did notice that some caravans had left before us, but we didn't hear  them .  Would stay there again

Ideal pre ferry stopover

Stayed for one night, ideal location for Port of Dover, really nice welcome, interesting we were the 7th van on this site as a CL and more arrived after us, some leave early doors for the ferries which can be disturbing and a word of caution, the access road is narrow and any cars parked on the road can lead to some problems getting along the road, i damaged my van!

Shouldn't be classed as a CL site

Although this is a very well kept site with lovely scenery around the area and only a 10 minute drive from ferries we were very disappointed to find that the night we had booked to stay there were 14 caravans/motorhomes on this site. I can understand that it must be very tempting to accept more bookings but if that is the case then this really shouldn't be classed as a CL. Very glad we were only staying the one night. Not sure we would return due to this. Pity as it is an ideal setting.

An excellent stopover coming back or going out

A warm welcome awaits at this clean well kept simple site, it offers stunning views across to Deal and at around 10 minutes drive to the P&O ferry terminal its an excellent stopover for those european crossings. Stayed in June on the way out and again last night (14th Aug 2013) on the way back from our Brittany trip. A really lovely start and end to our holiday.

5* CL

This CL warrants 5* as the owner keeps the grounds in tip top order. The grass is cut regularly and Miss Broadley offers a warming welcome. From the CL there are lovely views of the surrounding countryside and sea including the offshore wind farm sited at Deal. The location to the cross channel ferries to France is ideal being only 5 minutes drive to the Port of Dover. Using this site gives you a good feeling for the start of your continental trip. .
