What an amazing view to wake up to each day

Just spent a week at Longhouse, what a great place to wake up! The site is on a farm, and your view is looking out over the sea, sheep and cows. The site is easy to find but do use the information in the handbook, although at the moment there are some road works, so if advised by the owner, do follow the revised instructions, as there is good reason. You can walk to a lovely little beach for the dog to go for a safe swim, in Abercastle, there are toilets at the bay, but unfortunately nowhere to have a drink, but I am sure that this keeps this little cove tourist free. The coastline here is so stunning, what a lot of lovely places to visit, and great dog friendly pubs. The owner is lovely and offers advice and assistance. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

Brilliant Views

Just arrived home after spending a week at this CL. Which has : Lovely costal views from the caravan pitch. Costal walks from site and places to visit without travelling too far. Dog friendly Pub within walking distance which serves great food too. On arrival Mrs Raymond gave me the Strumble Bus time table & Coast to Coast information paper. Great little CL 🤗🤗🤗

Fantastiv view

This site was easy to find and get set up. The field was rather small but the views certainly made up for it. It was very peaceful with some wonderful walks directly from the site, along the Coast to Abercastle and beyond. Ideal for dogs to paddle as the small port was very safe. Would defo return.

Fabulous!

This was our 3rd site out of 4 on a 2 week trip and we loved it! Very laid back, relaxed and relaxing( no kids while we were there, always a bonus for us!) The views are spectacular, the local scenery is stunning. Due to very hot weather we didn't do as much walking as usual as we have 2 dogs but they were able to cool off nicely at abercastle , which is a very picturesque little harbour, and then it's a very pleasant walk to the next cove, lovely and quiet. We also walked the other way to the next cove in that direction, again great for the dogs to swim and the views along the coastal path are absolutely beautiful. The owner of the site lives very close by in the farm house and is really lovely and friendly but totally unobtrusive which is what we like. Level pitches all with an amazing view, good recycling facilities, cdp nicely tucked away, would go back in a heartbeat !

Short weekend break

We stayed at this site for 2 nights, it was raining when we arrived but the following morning we opened the blinds to see a stunning view across to Strumble Head. The site is lovely, the owners are lovely, there are fantastic walks from the site to places we'd never heard of! despite the fact we live in Wales and only travelled for 2 hours to get there. We would recommend the site to everyone, the local village has a great pub (The Ship) with friendly staff, great food, real ales and dogs are welcome in both bar and restaurant, an ice cream can be had at Porthgain, another stunning little village or a cream tea in Trevin by the pub. We will definitely be visiting again, we had a perfect relaxing weekend stay.

A Great Location

Although a little smaller than other CLs we've been to there was space enough for our caravan, awning and car. This CL is in a superb location, being a short walk to the beach at Abercastle and with all pitches having a superb coastal view but being sheltered by the trees behind the pitches. The local pub, a mile away, had fresh locally caught fish and the usual range of pub food. The Sunday Carvery at the Square & Compass on the A487 is recommended. The Strumble Shuttle runs at the end of the access road and we used this to get to St Davids and Stumble Head for walks back to the caravan. This CL is recommended for those who enjoy some peace and quiet and coastal views and walking. I'm sure we'll be back!

Amazing coastal views

Wonderful panoramic views from all pitches and easy access to coastal path. Helpful and friendly owners. Only down side was heavily overgrown local access lanes. Also site drive could also have been better trimmed as could the length of the grass on the site,

Perfect CL

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of August, Mrs Raymond was friendly and welcoming. The site is well placed for walking the coastal path. We also cycled the lanes over to Porthgain and Tretio Common. The Sloop at Porthgain is highly recommended, although booking is a must. Hilton Court Gardens at Roch are a hidden gem with excellent tea room.

Walkers are welcome

One of the best CL's we have stayed on in 32 years of membership. The site is quiet, the views towards Strumble Head are great, and its location for avid walkers of the Pembs. Coastal Path is ideal, being located right on the path, and the local Strumble Shuttle bus service will pick you up at the gate. The owners won't hassle you either - thanks for a great stay!
