This is a wonderful site.
It is quiet and peaceful with plenty of room.
Walking and cycling straight from the site but with such an abundance of wildlife, you may not wish to leave!
The owner, Peter, is very friendly and helpful and visited us on our first evening to make sure we were settled in ok.
We are looking forward to many more visits as this is now our favourite site!
Tranquil and lovely
Our first visit. No road noise. Very tranquil in beautiful countryside. Being a 2 acre flat plot, caravans have plenty of space. Excellent cycling. Coast close by. Military canal within a short walk. Easy to get to. Love it and will be back.
Second stay and it was better than the first.
Everything is just so chilled, peaceful and easy here. Nothing flash, but everything you need if you've got your own equipment. Not the place if you are looking for an exciting place with lots of facilities.
Best thing for us was watching the Barn Owl hunt in the field next to us, most evenings.
Peter, who's lovely and keeps on top of everything, recommended seeing the Bluebells up in the Woods. Beautiful!
If you're feeling stressed, go here for a few days. Can't recommend it enough.
Thanks,
Paul and Sue.
Can't fault it. A wonderful peaceful stay.
We stayed here for four nights recently and went home totally chilled.
If you're looking for a lively site, with plenty of facilities, this place isn't for you.
It's a large field, with well spaced out ehu pitches, with everything we needed.
The site is on a footpath, which we went for a lovely walk along the river from. It's within a short drive the coast and Dungerness RSPB. We also had a short drive to the Rare Breeds Centre, where we met up with family. Ideal for wildlife. We were watching a Sparrohawk and a Green Woodpecker from the Motorhome and the Blue Tits were perching themselves on the mirrors. We loved this place and will be back.
Our Favourite CL!
We have been to this site a number of times, and are just back from a two week stay on this beautiful CL. The site is large with well spaced pitches and good recycling facilities. Lots of walks and cycle rides direct from the site. There is an abundance of wildlife, we saw frogs, toads and a lizard whilst we were there, along with a Heron and many other birds.
It's a short drive to the sandy beach at Dymchurch and Greatstone, and the White Horse at Bilsington (a short cycle away) is well worth a visit.
Many thanks Peter. See you next year!
Perfect weekend get away
Exactly as per previous 5 star reviews. Stayed Friday to Sunday in January. Blessed with dry weather. Will definitely return. Peter is a caring host and although out when we arrived, kindly came back to check on us later. We can see why the site is almost fully booked for Easter.
Excellent peaceful site
We stayed here for four nights over new year with our two dogs. The site was really peaceful and quiet with plenty of local walks direct from the site. The hosts were very helpful and informative of the local area. We will definitely be coming back to this site and would recommend it to anyone who likes relaxed unfussy sites.

Lots of space and peace & quiet
Very large site with the EHU well spaced to allow best use of space and easy pitching away from other vans. Well organised facilities with water, elsan point and rubbish all sited together at the entrance and a very conscientious recycling set up.
Lots to do in the locality . Dog walking from site ,although disappointing that some of the many footpaths were overgrown and impassable , but still plenty to choose from and access to Royal Military Canal.
Had a lovely restful stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back to the area and this site in the future

Peaceful!
Our visit here was just 5 nights 16-21st November 2018. A really quiet site with no road noise! Good access and flat site. Occasional light aircraft pass overhead. Lots of birds and wildlife about. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Easy access to beaches, walks, shops, and cinema, and all not far away. Fish and chips at Fish and Peri, New Romney. Best we’ve had in a long time. Owner very polite and pleasant. Excellent value. 16 amp so no problem tripping out. We expect to return often as it’s not far from home and ideal for a quick trip away. Thanks Peter.
