Just returned from a very pleasant stay at Lower Banks Farm. The Location and the scenery are superb. The site is clean and well maintained, that being said if you have to use the hard standing area (as we had to because the grass was too wet ) dont expect to be able to put an awning up.The Area slopes quite dramaticaly, pitch 1 on the hardstanding you may have a fighting chance to erect one, pitch 5 you can get one up, just. Pitches 2, 3 & 4 forget it, we started on pitch 3 and our hitch head was at waist height!! However once settled on pitch 5, when it became vacant, we started to appreciate the site. The views down the valley are wonderful and the Kites soaring overhead where magnificent to watch as was all the other wildlife we spotted from our pitch. Walks aplenty straight from the site kept us fit. would we go again? probably, would have to be on the grass though I think.
