Most peaceful site ever.

A beautiful quiet site. Very little traffic uses the small road next to the site. Access is easy if you follow the detailed instructions sent from the owner. We stayed when it was heavy rain showers but the short grass was not waterlogged. It was a very short walk to the canal and then easy launching of our kayaks. The majestic oak trees at the edge of the site are beautiful and we were surrounded with birdsong whenever the sun shone. We heard owls during the night and enjoyed seeing the stars in the dark sky. A gem of a site if you want beautiful countryside and peace and quiet. We will definitely be back.

Very Quiet with Active Insect Life!!

We initially turned into the main farmyard as that's where the sign is but, although we couldn't find anyone to ask, we did then see the meadow over the road. Having parked up we went in search of the owner, but when we did find her she seemed rather busy and distracted. She told us where the chemical disposal was but we never did find the information room or the laundry. Neither am I sure where the 5 hardstanding pitches are, presumably in the yard, but the meadow was considerably nicer. We were the only people on the site for the 2 nights we stayed. We walked along the canal which was tranquil and beautiful into Whitchurch, a really interesting town. When we followed the footpaths across the fields to get back to the site we came across the horse flies - or rather they came across us. This made for a rather uncomfortable mile or two and some unintended itchy souvenirs! Still, this is the countryside. It is a very peaceful site within easy access of the Shropshire Union canal and Whitchurch.

Nice quiet site

We parked in the meadow and it is very peaceful, the owner is friendly and helpful and you don't need to book in advance. There are no toilet or shower facilities. The area is good for cycling on the quiet back lanes. We also saw a barn owl fly over the site. We only stayed one night but would return if in this area again.

Shropshire rural life

A very warm welcome from the owner the views from the caravan were lovely and the site was very clean. We were the only van there during our stay and due to the lay out of the site we are not too sure how 5 vans could have all been accommodated on hard standings but for us as we were the only ones there it was great. The owner even let us exercise our dog in one of his fields
