We have just spent a 2 night break at Lower Liston Farm and can agree with All of the other reviews. It is run by Graham and Andrea who made us very welcome and clearly take great pride in the site which they are constantly improving
The pitches are well spaced and level with views over the surrounding fields. Each pitch has their own fresh water and grey water connections whilst the toilets and showers are very clean and obviously well looked after.
Yes you can hear the trains that pass the back of the site but they really are not that intrusive and pass by in no time.
This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last.
A little Gem at Lower Liston
Lower Liston caravan CL.My wife and I have just returned from another tranquil stay on this little gem of a caravan site. The hosts Graham and his wife Andrea always make us most welcome as they do everybody. Each morning and early evening we sat watching deer with their young feeding in the fields in front of our caravan. Also we were entertained by a fox for the best part of an hour catching mice after Graham had mowed one of his fields. Eggs are available to buy if the hens are not on strike. The surrounding views of this park are absolutely stunning what ever time of the year you visit, Also wonderful walks in and around this beautiful area. Graham and Andrea have worked tirelessly to provide first class amenities including toilets and hot showers and super pitches all for £18 per night (a steal). We have booked again for Christmas, as this is their first venture into the Festive period since they opened.

Really great site - don't follow the directions in the book!
In the words of out neighbour "its beautifully manecured"! Its got just about everything, including eggs! Dead level hard standing, with grey waste, taps & TV points. Dog exercise areas with bins! Apart from the occasional train (& hot air ballon) very peaceful. We loved it. Now on the down side the instructions in the handbook are wrong. There is NO RAILWAY ARCH, its a road bridge. Site is immediatley on the right after the bridge - the Club have been told but not updated the instructions. So if you miss it, unless you can swing into the scrap yard entrance on the left, the next safe turnaround is the roundabout in Shaftesbury (just pas the filling station), or more tricky if you are traveling north. There is a wide turn on the right that you can swing a caravan around in. Also the sat nav post code location is a bit out. So looking out for an arch will get you nowhere. The site, however, is well marked with signs on both side of the entrance. Look on a map for the railway line or Google street view it. We will be back!
Nice site for a quite break
We only stayed at this site for a 2 night break on the way back from Cornwall. Warden very helpful. Pitches clean tidy and level. A choice of grass or hard standing which is helpful if weather is wet. Plenty of rural Hamlet's to visit on the Hampshire/Dorset border. Shaftesbury well worth a visit..
Wonderful Site
Just returned from 7 night stay at this Fantastic cl site. Spotless Site one of the Best we have Stayed on, and Will Return asap,
Wonderful site!
We have just returned from 5 days at this lovely site - our first visit but definitely not our last! The site is set in fabulous countryside and the pitches are large, well laid out and nicely landscaped. The showers and toilets are spotless and nice to have separate male and female facilities too. There was so much in the area to see that it will take several return visits to take it all in. We will definitely return (although our "pink" car may not make it next time!! 😁)

Fantastic
Having only returned a week ago we will be heading back there tomorrow. This is a real find, large well laid out Pitches and beautiful views. The facilities are immaculate and the owners Graham and Andrea so friendly and helpful. We tend to try not to repeat sites as there are so many to try but we loved the area and feel we will be doing this one on a more regular basis.
There are several NTs in the area the best of which is Stourhead and well worth a visit. At the moment with the bluebells and other spring flowers in full bloom this really is a wonderful area to visit and a great base to stay.
Beautiful
Just returned from our second visit and already planning to return in the summer. The site is perfect with plenty of space on each pitch and all the facilities you need. Showers/toilets pristine and the whole setting is lovely. Thank you Graham and Andrea.
Perfect
What a fantastic site! Nestled in a wide sunny valley, with lovely rural views. It's right beside a railway line, but there are two trains an hour, we quite like to hear them! To our surprise it's unfenced by the railway company so we were careful to keep our dog on the lead when on the footpath beside it.
Clean tidy but natural.
Sites separated by shrubs which will grow and form a good privacy barrier.each site has its own hook up and tap.
Showers and loo, warm and spotless and FREE!
Very friendly dealings with all the sites organisers.
Shaftesbury is great and has a lovely craft market on the third Sunday of the month.
We would love to return.

A Superb CL
Just spent three nights at this wonderful site. Made most welcome by the owners. The site is very clean and tidy. The showers and toilets are perfect. Mainly hard standing with own water and ECU. Would definitely come here again.
