A CL to keep secret

Booked for 10 days and ending up staying 17 days. Will definatly return. Has got a great tea room the staff are eager to serve you even with their special needs. Lovely home made cakes and sausage rolls, different types of birds and animals, it also has a static caravan for rental. Best wishes to Carol,Mark and daughter Sam. Will stop praising as we may not be able to get another booking as it will get fully booked

Brilliant

I do not know where the previous reviewer is coming from? We have just spent 7 nights on this site, great hosts quiet friendly, they also have a Tea room, and also providegood local knowledge nothing is too much trouble.#Yes there are some Geese and Ducks on site but that makes it more interesting and they are in another field and do not cause a problem. the other campers on site were very friendly, it has a village shop just 1 mile up the road and the Lincolnshire Wildlife park is 1 mile away 15 mins from Boston and Skegnees thanks to Carol & Mark for a great week.

What a shame

Our first CL site experience. Very nice couple running it but it wasn’t at all what we had hoped for. It was noisy with the geese and peacocks screeching and pecking early morning and through out the day but the dog barking all day was too much, it certainly isn’t “the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere” described in the listing. They repeatedly told us the geese never come on to the site but you only have to read the reviews to see that they have been doing so for years and the mess they leave is awful. You couldn’t let your children out to play and we are glad we weren’t putting up an awning. However, the day before we left, they cut the grass and tidied up around the pond leaving it looking great. We were hoping this site would have been a regular place for us and it really could have been without the geese and the dog. They appear to be very busy people with good intentions but sadly the site doesn’t seem to be high up on their priority list. We wish them well with their new venture but we won’t be returning to sample the cakes.

Perfect cl

Couldn't wish for a nicer cl,booked the site because it was central to the places we wanted to visit-skegness,Boston and to watch the typhoons at raf coningsby. It's so peaceful but so much to look at on site watching the peacocks and ducks.Entrance to the site is easy and all service points are good, the owners have a true passion for the site which really reflects on the quality.we'll definitely return at some point.

I don't want to tell you, but feel I must

I didn't want to tell anyone about this perfect little site, but that would be so selfish. On arrival we were met by Mark, who talked us through the best place to position ourselves for the best sun. We parked up and was greeted by Carol, whose love in life is mowing grass, The grass was so short and smooth we decided it was much nicer than flooring. A pretty site with flowers and high trees, We loved the ducks, chickens and peacocks who would visit with their babies for food, but were not a bother. We stayed here for 3 weeks and our 5 year old granddaughter Poppie joined us for a week. Poppie loved it here, yes there is a big pond but it is fenced off for protection of the ducks, Poppie loved feeding the ducks and chickens and collecting pretty feathers. Boston is a must visit, The Parrot zoo, a nice few hours out. I loved the talking parrots. Shop for me 15 minute walk, bus stop there and a bus pass into Boston is easy. We loved our stay here . Mark and Carol are perfect hosts. The site is excellent. No toilets or showers, but for £55 a week it's worth so much more. We were even invited to a BBQ on our last night, which made for a very friendly site. It took us hours to pack up and leave, 1 because we didn't want to go, and 2 because every one on site came to say goodbye and have a little chat. Congratulations for getting this caravaning lark so perfect

Just what we like.

At £9 a night what more do you need. As good as any CL, tidy, plenty of flat pitches. High trees around the site for wind protection, really can't fault it in any way, although if you walk across the site you may find you have a gaggle of chickens following you. Really enjoyed this and we have it on video, quite amusing. Owners really friendly and judging by others on site, they make friends with many of their visitors. Bus stop is a 10 minute walk. We didn't think the parrot zoo sounded exciting, but it really was good. One aviary had around 200 African grey parrots in it, really quite spectacular. All in all....a good site.

Welcoming, peaceful and pretty

Very pretty, well kept site with lovely little duckpond and picnic benches surrounding it for your use. Watch out for the free roaming hens ducks and peacocks, who love to share your picnics!! Useful information hut with plenty of leaflets and book borrowing service. Mark and Carol are very easy going, welcoming and helpful hosts. Feel almost like part of the family when you have been there for a week. You cannot fault the price at £55 for the week, but definitely worth more!! The local people are also very friendly. Local pub does very good meals and everyone is welcome - no particular dress code. The local shop and Post Office is very well stocked and just a 10 minute walk away and just across the road from there is the bus stop to Skegness or Boston. The Parrot Zoo (or Lincolnshire Wildlife Park as it is now known) is just an easy 1 mile walk away and well worth a day out especially if you have children. Will definitely return as this is one of the best sites we have been on.

Peace

Booking was easy, £55 for a week, cheap as chips. Lovely welcome from Mark and nice chats in the week. Spotless site. Follow the directions and it's narrow, but plenty of verges if you meet a tractor. Wide easy access.  park where you like, so we did and took advice from Marc as to best pitch. We were visiting friends so can't comment on pubs, but shop in Friskeny (3 min drive, 10 min walk) has post office, very well stocked and market in Boston was excellent. Thanks for a great stay Mark, we will return
