I was looking for somewhere quiet, peaceful, a place to unwind. I spotted Manor Farm and the reviews said it was a hidden gem. This description really doesn't do this CL justice. It is much more than a hidden gem. The pitches are hard standings, level and in a lawned area where manicured would not be an inappropriate description. Tim is a lovely gentleman, knowledgeable and very helpful and he was out every day I was there, trimming and pruning and keeping his wonderful 'garden' spick and span. Of course, this is a working farm but the peace and tranquillity lull you into believing that you're on holiday and away from the work. There are toilets and shower cubicle barely a few steps from the pitches and they are kept immaculately clean and Tim also provides an 'elsan' disposal point which would put several commercial sites to shame. Each pitch has an EHU and this is included in the booking fee, which I found to be very reasonable. I guess if you looked really, I mean really hard, you might find something small to complain about, but my only complaint was that I had to leave. I've never been here before, but thank you Tim for a most enjoyable and relaxing weekend. You'll definitely be seeing me again.
Love this place
Stayed here quite a few times. Mostly hard standing pitches, a couple of them a bit cramped. Good facilities but being in sheds may be a bit cold in winter, Set between 2 pubs, each about a mile away in opposite directions. The gardens are truly wonderful, beyomd National Trust standards. Tim is a good host, there when you need him but not visible other times.

Superb
What a great CL. Brilliant location and extremely good value for money. Tim, the owner, is very welcoming and will do his utmost to help with any queries. For a CL there is the added bonus of a shower and two loos. The site gives access to the owners wonderful gardens and there is even a small lake, which I saw some people fishing. Access to the site is easy for any size unit and is about three miles off the A49 by Cholmondeley Castle (worth a visit).
I would highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful - third visit!
We’ve just enjoyed our third stay at Manor House Farm and could not recommend it enough. Tim is very welcoming and always offers to help if required. The gardens are beautifully kept - an absolute pleasure to walk around and enjoy. I am a particular fan of the robotic lawn mowers - very therapeutic and not to forget the fabulous job they do at looking after quite frankly the healthiest lawn I’ve ever come across. The site is very quiet with gorgeous sunsets. We do have 2 small children and they are made to feel very welcome with plenty of space for them to play. We will be back again. Thank you Tim.
Beautiful little gem
This site is outstanding , well looked after , owner is super friendly .
£20 per night if you stay more than one night .
We will definitely return
A little disappointing
Lovely little site. Never had a shower in a shed nor used a toilet in a shed, but all worked perfectly. Could have done with toilet roll available...?
A little disappointed after being called at 14.52 hrs after leaving at 09:00 hrs to be accused of running over an automatic lawn mower. Neither of our party went over on the grass near the gate and certainly if we had had the unfortunate run in with an automatic lawn mower, we would have owned up to such an accident.
Good but a few points to be aware of...
first the good points
- great area for walking with public footpaths very close by which take you over fields and up into hills
- very dog friendly
- large field beside the hard standing area
- Tim greeted us and gave us options for where to set up, and showed us water points, recycling area, and toilet and shower facilities
constructive criticism points
- site page should make clear that ELU is extra charge, £5 above the £20 stated
- although toilet and shower were clean, they are in sheds so pretty cold in winter
- although the field was pretty firm, another unit managed to park up in the dark on a soft spot, and got stuck. No towing facility available onsite so they had to get family member to come and help them, so something for people to be aware of
Beautiful
What a little gem. The site is set in beautiful Cheshire countryside with the pitches adjacent to the owners garden, which you are free to roam. The views from any of the 5 pitches is excellent. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway, you'll find it here. Ideal for exploring nearby castles and a trip to Chester is within easy reach. Tim is very friendly and helpful, I wish I could have stayed longer and will certainly be back.
Found it a little tricky to find. Just had to keep going.
Although a quaint quiet site, the shower and toilet facilities were not quite what I expected.
The 3 small wooden sheds hosted 2 toilets and one shower. Doors hard to shut tight for privacy and as the weather gets colder I wouldn’t fancy using them. They would be cold.
Hidden Gem
This is beautiful site which I would recommend without hesitation. Proprietor Tim was so welcoming and helpful, wanting to make sure that everything was perfect for our stay. He needn’t have worried the whole place is sublime with beautifully manicured gardens managed to perfection and Tim is keen to share his knowledge and expertise with the happy campers.
It’s definitely one of the nicest campsites we have ever visited, my only reservation in recommending the place is that we love it and don’t want to share 😊. We will definitely be back…
Thank you Tim
