Ease of arrival/welcome

What has gone wrong here?

We had booked into this site for two nights prior to arriving, based on the picture seen online. It seemed like an idyllic and peaceful CL site. We chose to ignore the two poor reviews as they were from 2019. Problems were encountered initially with the online payment system, which seemed to fail several times, so we arranged to pay on arrival. We arrived onsite to find that what was previously the CL was now a car park, which was rammed with cars and people due to a family fun day which was taking place at the adjacent farm park. We were able to access the small gap in the hedge to get to the new site location, but anyone with a larger unit or a caravan would have struggled. We paid the site contact and queried the £20 fee as there was no hook up (the fee listed on the CAMC site was £15 with hook-up). The site now consists of a small grassy field which had been cut recently but was still a good six inches long and very rough. We elected to park on the small hard standing area. The site has no water fill point, there was a drinking water tap in the car park, but it was not connected. We found the elsan point, in the car park – again no water. This was queried with the site contact via email, but to date, have had no reply. This site has a lot of potential, but we shall not be returning; we only stayed for the one night and moved on. We would query why this site is still listed as a CAMC CL; clearly things have changed since its listing.
