This was our first time on a Certified Site and we were more than pleasantly surprised. We were only there for 3 nights as we were visiting friends before heading further south.
The pitches were all immaculate, with views down to the canal and horses in the field directly opposite. Had we had more time we would have explored the area a little more, particularly wishing we'd had time to cycle/walk the canal paths.
The owners were absolutely lovely - very welcoming and helpful. The toilet and shower block was always clean and there was plenty of hot water - which is always good!
We would certainly use again and can highly recommend a visit.
One of the best sites we have stayed on
We stayed on the Service Pitches all with hard standing looking out at horses in the field and the Kennet & Avon Canal beyond. Excellent, clean showers and toilets. Alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal there is a basic CL field without electric. The owners kept the place immaculate and were very friendly. If you bring your bikes you can cylce traffic free to Bath or Devizes, with plenty of pubs and places of interest on the way.
A lovely CL
A lovely neat, tidy clean cl site.
Very good hardstanding, plenty of room. Plenty of walks and cycle rides from the site. Friendly owners. Looking forward to our next visit. Small shop .7miles away. Bus stop outside.

Peace and Quiet next to the Avon and Kennet Canal
Don't be put off by the access road to this CL which goes past the former agricultural buildings which are now light industrial units. This was the very first CL that we stayed on in August 2011 and we were very pleased that we did!
The CL is situated behind the light industrial units - no noise whatsover on our visit - and has a lovely view across open fields to the canal. There is a shower and toilets in an adjacent former agricultural building. This was spotlessly clean (and cleaned daily). The 5 pitches are all on hardstanding and with electric hook-up. There is a chemical loo emptying point too.
We had a lovely 3 nights at the site and spent the time on local walks from the caravan, along the canal to Melksham and the villages in between. The owners were friendly and very helpful too. A great start to our caravanning!
