Delightful well kept site in great location

An absolute gem. Very easy access in a delightful part of the countryside. Extremely peaceful, with lovely walks all around. Easy access to Lyndhurst, Fritham is lovely with a great pub (The Royal Oak). Delicious lunches in again delightful surroundings. Tory the owner was a mine of useful information and with her advice we saw ponies and foals galore. The site is spacious with very well kept grass, large trees and wild grasses to the edge providing a spectacle of bird activity. We had some friends come to visit who were equally impressed with our spot. Thank you

Nice spacious cl

We liked this cl for its peaceful location, and the fact that the large flat field gives the opportunity of massive spaces between pitches especially if you have an extra electric lead as you can pitch anywhere in the field in the summer months There is good walking just up the road where a footpath takes you into the woods. There are 3 pubs nearby, within walking distance if you don't mind a decent walk. I would go again.

Great site. Great location.

Stayed for 2 nights at this great site on the edge of the New Forest. Site is within easy reach of the M27 / New Forest & Southampton. Site is easy to find, thanks to great directions on the web site. We met the owner on arrival, who let me know about the facilities. We had a hard standing pitch which is great. Will visit again in the summer when the full field should be open. Thanks for your hospitality.

Peaceful Christmas Break

What an absolute gem this little site is, I can't recommend it highly enough. We wanted somewhere quiet with easy access to the New Forest and which was no more than an hour away from my in-laws and this fitted the bill perfectly. Booking was dead easy using the Martins Farm on-line booking and Tory answered our query about bringing our team of gun dogs very promptly. There is plenty of space for 5 vans but as the ground is very soft in winter the owners very sensibly restrict numbers to 2 vans only on the large hardstanding which meant we and our one neighbour had loads of space. Tory met us at the front gate on arrival and gave us a quick overview of the facilities and local area and gave us a very useful information sheet detailing access to dog walks, local pubs and shopping etc. The site itself was very peaceful, although as it is located near other farms / stables there was some tractor noise but we're used to that so it didn't bother us. Access to drinking water, rubbish and recycling and chemical waste disposal was all nearby and electric hook-up was more than adequate for our needs. There is easy access to the New Forest not far from the site and we and our dogs loved getting out for long walks. We had a great Christmas break and certainly plan to return in 2019

Great site!

Lovely CL in a great location - well maintained by the owners - couldn't fault a thing! Was nice to receive an information sheet which was very useful. £15 a night. Thank you for a lovely (sadly short) stay, we would definitely return!

Quiet site in perfect location

Our second visit, over August Bank Holiday, and we found the farm site to be quiet and perfectly situated for the New Forest and the Solent attractions. On the edge of the Forest, and just a couple of miles from the Cadnam junction of the M27 the adults only farm site is incredibly peaceful, with deer often spotted in the adjoining field and owls heard close by each night. There are 2 hard standing pitches and a large grass area with E/H and water available close at hand. Chemical toilet emptying and a toilet are a short walk back towards the entrance. Tory met us on arrival and we had a thorough briefing on the facilities and nearby attractions, leaflets were also available. A pleasant CL offering all you would need as a base to tour the New Forest and surrounding area.

Lovely Site

We were due to stay on a CL site close by but were so disappointed with it that we decided to move. Fortunately Martins Farm was able to accommodate us. Tory and Matt were very friendly giving us lots of information. The hard standing area was very good, access to water etc also easy, yes the chemical emptying point was a little further away but really no bother. The location is perfect, excellent access to the New Forest and numerous popular attractions, yet while on site it is a perfect quiet isolation. It was lovely watching the horses in the paddocks and the dogs were definitely no problem. Southampton is our home town and although we have now moved away we will most definitely use this site if visiting the area in the future. Thank you Tory and Matt for a lovely visit

Beautiful site and location

This was our first experience of a certificated location and we have just spent a wonderful weekend at Martin’s Farm. We are novice caravanners and so it was good that the access from the M27 was very easy. Bartley itself is very well located for exploring the New Forest. If you are walking at night in the dark to and/or from the site to one of the several local pubs or restaurants (which the owner has very helpfully detailed in an information sheet given to us on arrival) then a torch is a must as there is very little street lighting. The hard standing area is very large and level with easy access to water and waste. Please disregard an earlier review if you are at all concerned about the distance to the loo waste point. We have only visited 3 sites previously (all club sites) and on 2 of these we had to walk much further to the waste point. On the subject of disregarding or not worrying about comments made in a previous review I can honestly say that the owners dogs are lovely, friendly and beautifully behaved. Neither of us are particularly confident around dogs and at no point did we feel nervous or uncomfortable. As an additional point - at no point during our stay were we disturbed by dogs barking. The hooting owls were however a wonderful surprise on our walk to the pub! Good to note: because the hard standing area is large you may need a longer hook up cable. We just had the standard 25m cable and it wouldn’t have reached. The owner very kindly lent us an additional cable which meant that we had a huge space around us for privacy. Another good to note: we had Vodafone 4G signal. (Not that we are internet junkies - just need to keep in contact with family) Another (!) good to note is that there is a little loo on site - scrupulously clean and looked after - with some useful area and touristy info in the little entrance bit to the loo. Martin’s Farm is a fantastic site. The no children policy (except for visitors I think) means that we had a truly quiet break in a beautiful part of the country. The late departure option was a huge blessing for us as it meant that, for once, we could spend a more relaxed departure day - something that we have not been able to do when staying on a club site. We will most definitely return and would rate this site, in terms of location and tranquility, head and shoulders above some of the New Forest Club Sites. Thank you very much! Mel and Andy
