Peaceful bolthole
We decided to have a couple of days away to escape the worst of the heatwave and didn't want to travel too far so we found this site 50 minutes from home. The owners Pam and Peter could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the site itself is lovely. There are actually 2 CLs one each side of the farm road, both with views but those from Mealand Hill slightly better. Humberside airport is quite close but very quiet, in fact, it was exciting if a plane actually took off or landed. The pitches are well laid out with water and electricity to each pitch and it all seems very spacious. Peter had left us an extension cable in case we needed it. There is also a little shop on site. The coast isn't far away where the sea breezes made it very pleasant. It was a shame we had to come home to the heat.
