Ideal Motorhome stopover

We stayed for 3 nights in June and my conclusion is that this site is an excellent site for motorhomes/campervans, looking for an overnight stop. The facilities are all as described and the owners are friendly and helpful, although we are led to believe they are planning on selling up soon. I agree with the other review, which said that the site isn't really what a lot of caravanners want. You can't really sit outside and enjoy the ambience as the site is very like a carpark, being comprised of gravel and not sheltered from the road. Both the road which passes along the front of the site and the one to the side (which leads to the fairy pools), are incredibly busy all day long (they are quiet at night though). Random people in cars did drive in and park up to take photos of the loch opposite and neighbouring Highland cattle! I didn't find the site relaxing at all due to the busy road and the fact that motorhomes arrived and left at varying times all through the day and night. Quite a few were obviously not caravan club members (Norwegian couple and large Spanish family for exampe) and they were quite noisy at dawn and midnight. There was nothing wrong with the site and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a one night stopover, but wouldn't recommend it as a relaxing holiday base.
