Basic, but excellent for Chatsworth and exploring Derbyshire

A very basic site with no electric hook-up, but what a view!  As i was only saying for a couple of nights, i was quite happy working off gas, and for the cost of the stay, it was more than worth it. It was a little difficult getting into the site, the turn from the road into the drive was tight, and the drive quite steep.  the field is sloping too, so blocks are needed. I stayed here in September for the Chatsworth Country Fair and a superb location in that respect.  the weather wasn't too good - horizontal rain that was sweeping straight off from the moor & hillside, so it does catch the worst of it - but in my book, that made it better! - it was like something out of Wuthering Heights, and i was quite happy to tuck myself up with a good book, some good beer (Jaipur!!) and let the storm pass.
