Caravan pitches

This is a fantastic site, running water hookup drainage gully’s Electric hookup. It is on a main bus route into Chester bus stop near the site. Both the owners and the birds and animals are friendly. This is a site we will use again

Lovely site to visit the areas of Chester and Wirral

Very good welcome at this CL and easy to find using the directions in the club book. It is situated right on the A540, could be difficult to get in and out as it is a busy road. The Wifi was not working but we were invited to use the house one, until they got a replacement wifi extender after a few days. This site is right on the bus route which stops outside the CL with services to Chester and West Kirby. We took our bikes and explored some of the traffic free cycle routes on The Wirral by driving there and parking up. Some of the cycle routes are very popular on the Deeside of the Wirral

Friendly and welcoming site

We have stayed here twice in April and May 2021 as we were house hunting in Chester. A friendly welcome on arrival coupled with much needed help as we tried to get around the workings of our motorhome that was new to us. We had been unable to check things out due to COVID-19. It is a bit noisy due to road noise and the various animals and chickens! Each pitch has its own supply of water and electricity and disposal for grey water. Turning out of the site entrance is not easy due to restricted visibility. Thank you to Phil and Joanna for all their help..

Really Want To Go Back

Loved this place, greeted by Phil on arrival and I wanted to pay, he just said go and set up enjoy yourselves I'll see you over the weekend. Easy access to a flat level grass pitch with EHU and water. The site is easy access from the M56. Small holding farm with a variety of animals from sheep to alpacas and chickens running round. Sorry that Phil and Jo have sold up, I really hope the owners take it up and carry it on with the same customer care as Phil and Jo. Great friendly CL.

Wonderful

We arrived at this site to a very friendly welcome off Phil,we were only going to stay for 2 nights but stayed for 4. We just love this CL it has a small holding with a variety of animals including alpacas who love carrots. The chickens run around free and are very comical. The pitch is serviced with water electric The only downside is the very busy road outside the site but it didn’t bother us too much we will definitely be back if we are in the area. Thankyou Phil and Jo for being so friendly and laid back and providing such a relaxing place for us to stay.

Base to explore for N Wales, Cheshire & Wirral

This is a small site that is set back away from a very busy A road. At commuter times the noise can be very distracting. A kind of alarm clock. If the traffic doesn't wake you the 'posh' cockerel will certainly awaken you. This is a smallholding and the owner was very welcoming. There are chickens that come to your door and scurry around the pitches, which are next to llamas and next door, cows. There is a neat dog walk around the site which is fenced in. I am afraid we found the solitary toilet 'The Dunny' to be it's let down. To use it I had to leave the door open to sit down before closing it. I think this might be an area to focus on, if only to make it bigger. It was clean however. The Elsin point was a toilet left in the open next to it. Again clean and functional. The plusses for us were the mains services on each pitch - mains water and grey waste, along with EHU, and the site was fairly level. For the very reasonable cost, this is a fantastic location from which to explore, but not one that encourages sitting out and about the pitch at busy traffic times. Very friendly site and the animals were very amusing in their antics.

We had a really enjoyable sightseeing week there.

Wirral weekend

Great site to visit if you are visiting the Chester or Wirral area. Very friendly owners on a great little small holding with chickens, geese, alpacas, goats and a pig. Site has electric water and chemical waste bring a long hose and you will not need to fill up every day almost a fully serviced pitch. Excellent for the dog, easy to walk on site, she found the chickens interesting as she did the alpacas. Whilst I read the comments re road noise, you do not hear it after a time as it is constant, it is a busy road and some patience is needed when you leave no issues here. Thank you Joanna an Phil for a pleasant stay we will hopefully see you again.
