Little Gem

Our first time at Mill Farm but will be returning. Lovely flat field with excellent views. Steve, the farmer, very friendly and helpful. Great walks from farm, through fields, woods, over railway and stepping stones over river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in June 2023 and hope to come back soon.

Mill Farm

A lovely, flat grassy field. Great views over the local countryside, with cattle and sheep nearby. Pub and shop in the village a short walk away, and useful information in the summer house giving details of local walks. Easy to locate (just off the Grantham to Lincoln road) with several places of interest near by. I am sure we will visit again.

A lovely quiet and peaceful CL site

A lovely, quiet farm field with pleasant scenic views. All the pitches have electric hook up and the site is very level. A nice idea is the summer house in the corner of the field which contains maps and brochures for local sites and walks. There is a little supermarket at the BP garage, 10 minutes walk, but be aware it is a little bit pricey but conveniently located. We also visited Syston Park farm shop, in the next village and the pub is in Barkston. The local countryside is brilliant for walks and despite some poor weather we were able to take full advantage of these. Steve Elnor runs a busy farm but is still always on hand if required by the campers. A lovely couple of days break and we will be back in the future.

Good Value

We have just spent the weekend here, the site is small basic and fairly level. It is close to the A1 and easy to find.A good site for stop over or as we did it was good for walking as there are many walk ways from the site. The owner is friendly and runs the working farm(lots of sheep)There is a pub nearby within walking distance but we didn't go.For £12 a night it is good value!

What a perfect little Gem hidden off the beaten track.

We have just this year started using CL's. This picturesque site is perfect for short or long stays. A fenced field with views over and past the BellMount that leads to Belton House is wonderful. Great location for walks with your four legged friend, and lots of places to visit nearby. If you intend to visit the Barkston Stag pub make sure you book in advance (When you book the CL) as its very popular and we failed to get seated. If you like to sit back watch the clouds roll by while sheep and cows roam around you're going to like it!

Mill Farm was excellent for my needs

We were visiting family in the Grantham area and looking for a convenient spot to stop overnight. I was pleasantly surprised by the level grass pitch with lovely views to wake up to, all the facilities I needed and the Stag Inn a dog's walk away. We enjoyed the most pleasant meal at the pub which boasts stone floors where the pooch could sit at our feet. We booked a second night immediately. Our pet insisted on showing us some of the other walks from the site and there are several we didn't have time to try. I think my sister will be seeing more of her sibling because this is a site I want to revisit. Thanks Steve Tony, Moira and Dougal

Relax in the farm

A great CL site, very tidy and easy to access. Relax around the farm environment and walk with the sheep, to the stream. Local village and pub is easy to walk to and also the endless miles of bridleways and footpaths, through the countryside. Safe van storage site as well, at a great price. We will return. Thanks Clive, Louise & Abbey

2 day stop over

We chose Mill Farm because of its location to Boundary Mills at Grantham. When we arrived there was only 1 other unit. The site was level, neat and tidy and surrounded with cattle one side and sheep on the other. This site is peaceful, with good views and it has a trout stream 10min walk across the fields which Steve allows you to fish. Steve the owner, is a very friendly chap. I wish we could have stayed longer as the Stag pub looked very welcoming. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Colin & Chris

Rural tranquility

Late Friday evening we decided we needed a break and thought that Mill Farm sounded just what we needed. An email to Steve was answered very promptly and luckily he could fit us and our motorhome in on the Saturday night. Directions were very clear and we were given a warm welcome by Steve, despite it being the middle of his lambing season. The field was level and the grass of a decent length. There were 2 water outlets that we saw and a summer house which had a lot of local information in it. The scenery was lovely and the site was one of the quietest we have visited. If we visit this area again we would not hesitate to return and we don't say that about many sites. There are walks from the farm but as we were only there for one night on an 'escape' mission we didn't have time to explore them. I will plan to stay longer next time.
