My wife and 2 children (16 and 12) have just returned from a wonderful weekend on this site having stumbled upon it quite by accident as we searched for a site near Debenham where we were attending a wedding. It is a most idyllic site approx. 1.5 miles from Debenham along the country lanes (ask owner for best directions in) and is along a private roadway on a small fruit farm, surrounded by orchards so very safe and secluded. A barn owl patrols the adjacent field each night. Site is grassed (farmer makes a point of keeping it cut) and level (mobile phone reception just about ok, tv reception fine but no internet). An added bonus for us is the new addition for this year - a brand new timber toilet/shower building which was just superb. The owner, Henry is a super chap who made us feel very welcome and is extremely pleasant and relaxed - just what we needed. Debenham itself is a beautiful, quaint Suffolk village with all the amenities you will need plus a very good CO-OP and hardware shop nextdoor which are both open on Sundays. Also a butcher, fish and chip shop, chemist, baker plus several other shops/eateries but time prevented us from exploring/using them on this occasion but we will definitely be back to this fabulous part of Suffolk and soon and will definitely return to Moat Farm especially for its peace and tranquillity.
