Ease of arrival/welcome

Please cut the grass

We have just returned from molletts farm after a ten night stay. Nice welcome on arrival, central location for touring suffolk. However we found the site to be very small, advertised as half an acre but compared to other cl's it must be a misprint and be quarter of an acre. The grass had not been cut on our arrival and even after ten days stay they still did not cut it We do appreciate a site with short grass. No excuses hardly any rain. Lots of wildflower areas around site that's fine, but we do appreciate a neat cl .Marked down for peace and tranquility as they had a noisy peacock squarking during the daytime.

Glad to hear that you found our location well suited for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast, but sorry a couple of things spoilt your stay.

This year we’ve been boosting our support for the struggling wild bee population and other beneficial pollinators across the farm, which included leaving the CL’s abundant White Clover uncut for a few weeks whilst it was flowering. Neatly mown surfaces are a bit of a desert for wildlife, so we’ve been experimenting with the balance between being tidy and being kind to nature. Please bear with us whilst we try out different things.

Our amorous Peacock’s high-summer daytime calls do tend to bring out a marmite reaction in our guests – which we completely understand. Although he and his family have been with us for many years, they’ll sadly be leaving for a new home shortly. Either way, it’ll get quieter over the coming weeks!

The CL is 0.35 acres in total, which we think CAMC had to round up when they first listed us. We’ve asked if they are now able to be more accurate.
