A lovely site in a lovely place

We stayed here for seven nights in May with some friends. The site is nicely kept, all the facilities are reasonably handy and the views are great. Access to a number of places and walks in the area is good and there are several good pubs quite close. All in all a great site in the wonderful Peak District.

Excellent site, great views

A lovely flat site with panoramic views. Friendly owners, working farm, good water pressure and level pitches with plenty of space. The coordinates in the book take you to the GPS postcode, actual coordinates are 53.204465, -1.810240 on Stonebench Lane.

Lovley First Visit - will be returning soon

This was our first visit to Moor Farm and will definitely be back. We were lucky enough to get a pitch after trying numerous cl's but so glad this is where we got booked in. The access from the main road is very easy. Mr and Mrs Edge were really nice and welcoming. Pitches all on grass but it is immaculately kept and facilities are all well marked, the water tap is just at the end of the field. It was nice to watch a mother and two calves in the field next to the cl and seeing the rest of the herd coming and going in the nearby fields keeping to their milking time routine. The views from all around the pitches were stunning. The cl is next to a small road but traffic is not busy. The area is great for walks from the site and there is a pub back up to the main road too. We had a great first weekend away after lockdown with plenty of space and fresh air, just what we want from a cl.

Nature at it's best

A nice CL overlooking the nursery field.  Enjoyed watching calves being born and mums tending to thier young.  Easy access to the High Peaks trail and easy walking to two pubs even though closing times and days were a restriction.  Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Royal Oak down the trail, who have free Wifi.

June 2014 Visit

The site is a well sized grass field with plenty of room for units to have their own privacy and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The field is slightly sloping and has some depressions which show signs of collecting water when it rains. This is part of a working dairy farm and the owners were very friendly. We didn't visit either of the pubs in walking distance but can recommend "The Bulls Head" in Monyash. Buxton and the surrounding attractions are within easy reach by car, and the High Peak trail is within easy walking distance.  We will not hesitate in returning to the site next time we are in the area.

March Visit

This is a basic CL in a grass paddock adjacent to Moor Farm close to the village of Flagg. Access  is easy, 1/2 ml along a lane off the A515, 6 mls SE of Buxton. Views are extensive over the adjacent fields and there are numerous footpaths and quiet lanes for those who like a walk. There a 2 pubs within walking distance and the High Peak Trail is close by for both cyclists and walkers. The site field is quite flat but did become a bit soggy following heavy rain.
