Peace and Quiet

This site ticks all the boxes, a short drive from exit 30 of the M5, the site has good access Paul is an excellent host. All pitches are hard standing and fully serviced, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The site is so quiet and peaceful and we can’t wait to return.

Wonderful CL

We have spent the last week at Moor View CL and will definitely be returning. Paul is an excellent host. He gave us an extremely warm welcome and was fantastically helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect with easy access and near to Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Topsham Quay and Exeter. Plenty of walks, eating places and stunning views. The pitches are large, level and fully serviced. Very quiet and lots of wildlife to watch. Paul truly saved the day when we had an issue with our van at the end of our stay. Definitely over and above the call of duty. Huge thanks!

5* Site

Wonderful site, well positioned to visit many local places of interest: Budleigh Salterton completely unspoilt, Branscombe a must (but take care, lanes are very narrow) Topsham a delight, Sidmouth a traditional seaside town, unspoilt. Site has excellent facilities, even your own "black waste" - never come across this before, a first.

Great find

We received a really warm welcome after a long drive from Suffolk from Mr Slade. Would definitely return to this site if we are in the area. Very well appointed, easy to set up camp with good facilities & pretty surroundings with generous sized pitches. Loved watching the finches gorge themselves on the wild sunflower area. Only pity was that we had only allowed ourselves 2 nights.

Not exactly adult only

Lovely as the site is and the owner very hospitable be aware that next door to the site there are three self catering properties with families in and children playing outside, also as proviosly stated £20 a night is plenty as there are sights with more facilities for less money.

Excellent weekend restful stay

We stayed here for 3 nights having travelled from South Wales for work on our motorhome. We were anxious because we have been in lockdown 4 months. However no worries here own services on each pitch, even the recycling and chemical emptying. Lovely views and nothing too much trouble for Paul when we decided to have food delivered. Thank you Paul for a lovely safe stay.

Excellent CL

We have booked another stay at Moor View, our forth visit from Kent in two years. Paul is a great host and always willing to help to make our stay as comfortable as possible. His local knowledge is second to none. Dartmoor is a short drive away, every time we visit the moors we find something different. We had a lovely break next to a stream and enjoyed watching the kayaks running the white water. There is a large supermarket just outside Exeter. Park and Ride into Exeter is also not far away. We also enjoy quite days staying on the site and watching the chickens, ducks and sheep. Fully services pitches are also a big bonus for us and the pitches are level and well spaced out on this very well kept CL. See you soon Paul.

Quality doesn't come cheaply

As others have written, this is an excellent CL, and moreover usable year round which is always a bonus in our climate. We spent two very comfortable and quiet nights here a week ago. It's well located, as has been said, although not all the neighbouring towns welcome motorhomers (Sidmouth is good, though). We thought £20 was a little high, especially as one of our favourite CS's from the other major club (Shhh!) costs us £11 per night inc hard standings, electricity, 2 toilets + just 50p for a shower. More especially though, we'd come directly from Hillhead Club Site at Brixham and that was cheaper, even with its heated floor toilets, motorhome service point, etc! I accept that it was our choice to stay and we're glad we did, but it might just make us think twice...

Best warm welcome ever to a fabulous tranquil CL of perfection !

We have recently stayed ten nights at Moor View which is well located after leaving the M5 at Junction 30 and following the Site Directory instructions. Access to the CL is very good albeit from quite a busy minor road - we had no issues at all with our twin axle Swift Conqueror caravan. Immediately upon arrival, it became clear from the very warm reception that we received from the Owner - Mr Slade - that he was a "people person" and determined to deliver at his Adults Only CL an outstanding experience to everyone - and throughout our stay it became very apparent that what mattered to Mr Slade was that all his "guests" enjoyed that outstanding experience in respect of which he took great pride, commenting that the experience was a too way thing ie for the site owner and the club members which clearly he valued. Being a "local" he has considerable knowledge of the area. After our initial chat with Mr Slade, we were directed to our reserved pitch where Mr Slade was extremely helpful to aid us with the positioning of our caravan on the level hard standing pitch - all pitches face South. The only issue was a need to use a hammer to ensure our awning pegs went into the hard standing lol !!! We were highly delighted to find that each pitch has its own drinking water tap, waste outlet and toilet disposal point (we had omitted to spot in the Sites Directory that the pitches were fully serviced including waste outlets, and had arrived unprepared to channel our waste direct to the outlet but had on board the necessary water connectors from the tap to our aquaroll which took all the hard work out of having to fetch water - and also just a few feet away to empty that toilet cassette !). The CL is maintained to a very high standard by Mr Slade who is always available for a chat when out and about the site. On either side of each hard standing is grass which is cut and the grass collected for feeding to sheep in the field which adjoins the CL, all this adding to the feeling of "getting away from that busy world"! The reason for our visit was to visit Sidmouth but not far away with easy access are Lyme Regis, Seaton, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Exeter (the latter even oly about 10-15 minutes). Discounted fuel can be conveniently obtained from a superstore on the outskirts of Exeter and within 10-15 minutes of the CL. The standards of this well deserved very busy Adults ONly CL are outstanding and a visit is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the light of our own excellent experience. A very efficiently operated CL well worthy of being CL of the Year !

Excellent site

Spent 10 nights here in late August. Lovely site, well laid out with easy access. Fully serviced pitches makes for an easy time. Paul is a friendly and helpful person with a good knowledge of places to visit. I'm sure we will be back in the near future.
