Nice site

Stayed here 4 nights to break our journey to Devon. It's a nice site, especially if you can get one of the grass pitches. We were on a hard standing, which was ok, but some previous user had spoilt part of the grassed area. Great views and handy to walk to the wildlife park and the Tudor Arms.

Another lovely stay

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at this very well maintained CL. We like the fact that there is a board telling you which pitch you're on and with water and EHU on each pitch we were soon set up. Site was immaculate and very peaceful and is ideally placed for a visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre. Heather was lovely and remembered us for a previous stay. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent site. Very easy access from M5. Well maintained, quiet site with friendly, helpful owners. Water and waste water disposal (ditch) on each pitch very convenient.

Lovely little site.

Stayed for 5 nights late Feb 2022, including throughout storm Franklin! Site was just sheltered enough to deflect the worst of the storm. Access is easy and whilst very close to and handy for the M5, the site is very quiet and we couldnt hear the traffic at all. All of the pitches are flat and level (grass and hard standing) and very dry, even in February? Would definitely recomend

First visit to a CL, we chose the right one, Brilliant

This was our very first visit to a CL and it couldn't have been better. An easy to get to location, although the lane to the site is a bit narrow without many passing places, luckily we didnt meet a tractor or cattle lorry on our drives in and out!. The owners are very friendly and made sure we knew where everything was, a whiteboard gave the information as to which pitch we had so we could just pitch up however the rain had washed it off! (storm Dudley).. we chose correctly confirmed by the lovely Heather. there are now 3 hard standings (the photos show only two) a small semi enclosed area has the rubbish separation bins and Black waste dump which is clean and easy to use, grey water gets poured into a drainage ditch so a grey water hose attached to the drain tap would be brilliant, we used our wastemaster then just tipped it in now and then. The small dog walk area is an ideal size, there is also plenty of footpaths through larger fields adjacent to the site, which our collie enjoyed thoroughly We ran out of milk so took a walk into Slimbridge thinking the post office would have some, unfortunately not, it is just a post office. So we had to take the MH into Cam where there is a Shell garage with a Spar attached or further into the village a cafe or two etc and a Tesco supermarket. The area seems pleasant but we didn't get time to explore to much due to the storms. The Owners were extremely busy as they were calving but still made time to make sure we were ok. a Lovely site that would be even better in the summer months, we will stay here again if in the area and are looking forward to more CL stays in the future.

Excellent Site

We stayed on this site for four nights in the middle of October, a lovely CL beautifully looked after, very neat and tidy, easy access, your own tap and electric, sheltered from any wind and despite very heavy rain over two of the nights we were there no problem with any lying water, a very well drained site. Plenty to do in the area, lovely walking although the Canal area would obviously be very busy in high season but lots of alternatives. A real find, we will certainly be returning.

Overnight stay

We have stayed on this site several times before and as always Heather made us feel very welcome. The site is always spotless with water on each pitch which is a bonus these days. Lovely walks around the surrounding countryside. We will definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time. We recommend this site and it is perfectly situated for those travelling on the M5

Lovely CL site

We stayed 5 nights at Moorend Farm which is just a short drive from the M5, so a great to stop over destination. There will be a board letting u know ur pitch and Heather is lovely. There is plenty of room between pitches which is surrounded by hedges so shelters from wind and noise (blackberries and damsons in the hedges when we were here). Its not far from the motorway but quiet really most of the time. Just a 25 min walk from site along quiet lanes is Shepherd's Patch, beside the canal. You can go for a walk along the canal or sit by the Black Shed with a pint or coffee watching the boats, paddleboards and birds. There is also a pub on the other side of the road next to a large caravan site. The Black Shed also does a lovely fish, chip and beer on Friday night. Slimbridge Wildfowl centre is a little further on down the road. All in all a lovely quiet CL site to relax.

Lovely CL

Just spent 4 nights at Moorend Farm and what a lovely place. Easy to find and access is straightforward. A board at the entrance lets you know your pitch, we were at the far end on one of the grass pitches which we prefer. The site is surrounded by hedges, so no views, but the hedges do provide shelter. There are plenty of walks in the area, along footpaths or quiet lanes. You can spend a lovely afternoon watching the boats on the canal with a cuppa or a pint from the Black Shed, just down the road. A bit further down the road is the wildfowl and bird place...you could pay £16 each, or you can see swans and ducks on the canal for free!!
