Ease of arrival/welcome

Not quite up to scratch.

Finding this site was more than a little tricky, over shot the lane to the site as there wasn't a CC sign at the entrance and turning round via a farmers field isn't advised. When we arrived on site the vans already there were spaced out making it difficult to park up with a decent fire break space from the next van. No markers for pitches and the owner wasn't on site to assist. The area on the north coast has some stunning views with Dunnet Head and Dunscanby Head must see's. John O' Groats is a place to visit and forget, although the small harbour is pretty. Thurso we thought was a nice little place a bit run down but OK. at the time we visited a company of re-enactors were staging a Viking village scene in the main street. Wick, is a place that has lost it's way and is in need of a lot of TLC it was the worst place we visited on the whole three week tour. Pubs and eating places seem to be few and far between in this area.
