Having read the reviews we booked this site for 2 nights in September. Had we been on the original part of the CL it would have been ok, however, we were in an adjoining area where there were 2 extra pitches on hardstanding and with water and electric to both pitches. The hardstanding was made of recycled tarmac and nature was beginning to take over with grass growing through. The two pitches were close together and I would doubt there was room for an awning, as there was a path either side of the two pitches. Behind us was a small paddock, and on our second day we were surprised to see a 'motorhome' parked behind us! There was a low fence between us but the motorhome was little more than 1 metre away. I use the term motorhome loosely as it was just a small converted van. On our second night there were 8 units on the site. We have used CLs for many years all over the UK and have always enjoyed our experiences.
