Friendly CL at Annan

We had a 2 night stopover at this CL. All 5 pitches are on hardstanding. There were 5 vans including ourselves and 3 of them had awnings up so there should be no problem there. Pitches might be too close for some people but as we were in the end pitch and not putting an awning up we could stretch so didn't pose a problem to us. Something to bear in mind though. All pitches back on to one of the steel barn walls and face south looking out across the Solway firth to the Northern Lake District in the distance. Elsan and waste water goes down the same plug hole. there is a water tap on each pitch. Shower and toilets normally open bu this is Covid time so can't comment. I understand that there is also a washing machine for rent. Dog walkers have the sands of the Solway to walk on at low tide. The N7 cycle route passes in front of the CL. The main problem might be access as the road in doesn't have any passing places and does have the odd pot hole to contend with. On the plus side is the lack of traffic that uses the road. Annan is 4 miles away with an Aldi and Tesco and an array of small shops. The A75 that runs west to east across Dumfries and Galloway can be accessed nearby. We'd stop again for an en route stopover. Very pleasant owners who have a small shop for baked goods and chutneys etc. with proceeds going to NHS.
