The site has easy access from the M6. Is only a very short drive away from Penrith for shopping. Great for cycling around all the villages, including Greystoke, Mungrisedale, Mosedale etc. This is a working farm but Louise and Richard are very friendly and helpful. The hard standings are not bad but after rain it can get a little muddy. There isn't a direct bus route but we take the car a short way and park in Stainton and then can catch the X4/X5 bus either to Penrith or into Keswick. From there buses go all over the Lake District. Ullswater is just down the road and so is the interesting Reghed Centre. Well worth a visit. This has been our 5th visit and we shall be back again. We stayed 11 days and there is still places to visit.
