8 super days

We have just spent 8 days on this fabulous site. The views are superb, the site is like a well manicured lawn and levelling blocks were not required. The facilities are basic but more than adequate and acceptable for a cl. We received a very warm welcome from Grahame, the owner, he is very helpful and willing to answer any questions you put to him, very quickly it was like meeting an old friend. Plenty of dog walks nearby and numerous places to visit, ideally situated to visit the last of the summer wine area.

Good farm site

Just spent two nights at Mount Pleasant. Good views, nicely lawned site, ground firm enough to take our 8.5m motorhome without bogging down despite the wet weather. Easy to find from Honley on the Meltham road, and a good size pull off in front of the gate so you don't have to worry about blocking the road when turning in. Nice walks in the area, especially Honley Wood, but the road is a little busy to walk along before you reach the footpaths. Plenty of shops and cafes in nearby villages. Will be happy to revisit when we are back in the area.

Break in West Yorkshire

Hard standing area was sheltered and quiet but would prefer to be on the grass field next time I was a bit surprised that I was charged £15.00 per night when I was quoted £12.00 and the web site stated from £12.00. for a February booking.

Idylic Site

I stayed here for 2 nights to visit family. My motorhome was parked in the farm courtyard with the help of Mr Oddy as I travel alone he was a great help making sure my van was level. It's a well kept site and when I head north again I will certainly stay here again.

Pleasant by name and nature

This site is basic but was great for us as we were spending a lot of time with family in their homes. We were on the hard standings in the farm courtyard. It was dark when we arrived and Mrs Oddy wasn't at home. She was available on her mobile, however, so we got some info from her that way. Some points to note, do not follow your sat nav come to the site via Honley, the route from Meltham Mills will take you on a road NOT for towing. We, luckily, followed the instructions from the book! The Hard standings are not flat so you need levelling blocks, you have to lift the wastemaster to empty which is rather difficult if you're wee like me. Hook up point is in small 'hub' garden in centre of yard, care with cables so as not to trip up. The Meltham to Honley Rd passing the entrance is busy but not noticeable once you're on pitch. Enjoyed waking up and looking out on a field of sheep. Unfortunately the weather was foul so didn't get to try some of the local walks but will next time, there seem to be plenty.

Great basic CL for visiting Holmfirth

Tranquil basic CL, ideal for visiting Holmfirth.  Beautiful setting.  Quite uneven so levelling blocks definitely required.  Will stay again when we come up to the area again.

Winter break

Stayed here as we were visiting holmfirth vineyard. We used hard standing in farm yard as field was closed due to winter weather. Just 4 miles from holmfirth, and easy to find using directions supplied.  We saw a show in leeds - 26 miles away and xmas shopping in manchester 26 miles away. Very central for our needs on this trip and will return to explore the area next summer.
