Never again

Location and amenities as other reviews very easy to find and to get around but the facilities were very poor One toilet and one shower which is not a problem but was very dirty when we arrived and judging by the amount of dead spiders and cobwebs it has not been cleaned for a long time. Such a shame as it could be a much better site. This was our first time staying at a CL and if this is the level of quality it will be our last. The warden was nice and helpful when we arrived but didn't see much of them after that.

Great Overnight Stop

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Cornwall after a tortuous journey that took nearly seven hours. We were glad to find such a reasonably priced CL with easy access from the M5. The site is small, but well kept. It does have a shower and toilet, as well as recycling facilities. There is easy access to Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare and other local attractions. We were on a pitch just outside the very small CL. Not the most salubrious surroundings, but for an overnight stop we were very grateful and it was adequate.

First CL I've used, was a perfectly level well kept site down a quiet road. Bonus to have toilet and shower facility, both were more than adequate, despite what other reviews suggest. It's a fair walk to Burnham-on-Sea, circa 40 minutes, but did burn off the large fish and chips walking back to the van after visiting the town! Lovely and quiet, would recommend.

Excellent relaxing break

I was in two minds to leave a review, part of me wanted to not encourage people to stay here so as to guarantee availability for us. The site is perfectly located for Burnham on Sea and surrounding area, a short cycle ride to the beach a few minutes to the M5. Friendly host and very helpful. Locals very friendly pointing out places of interest, ie best local fish and chips after a long drive.... Site is well kept, toilet and shower block more than adequate, read previous reviews and was a little apprehensive but found them to be clean and well looked after. This was our first trip to a CL and have definitely been converted, 5 days of peace and relaxation, now looking for our next visit to this excellent site. Thankyou Pete.

Relaxing break

Mulberry House, was an ideal site for a local break with all amenities provided. Good location, with easy access to the motorway and A38. Many attractions close by, with restaurants and supermarkets. Field grassed and well kept by the owners. CLs are part of the owners home offering a service to club members. Ideal for overnight stays or short breaks. Some noise from the motorway and A38 but not annoying. Facilities OK and clean, good compared to sites which only provide the minimum. Met by owner shortly after arrival, no pressure to pay immediately. We had a relaxing extended weekend stay and would most definitely stay again.

Good stop over site, but not your picturesque week holiday stay

Very easy access from M5, just 2 minutes from away, which did give a little back ground traffic noise but not loud enough to be intrusive. Access from a lane into a gateway, which led onto a part grass /part hard standing drive of the farmhouse. Camping site was through another gate into a large grassed garden type area, which is where the vans were sited. It would have been a tight squeeze to get 5 vans along that line, especially with cars parked besides each van. I actually wanted hard standing, as it was raining very hard when we arrived. Eventually the owner came out as he saw us enter and stop and wait, as he had builders there doing an extension of the farmhouse. (May have been nice to be advised of this, and even offer a slight reduction on the fees as it was not a pretty sight). so we had the farmhouse drive area as our camping pitch, overlooking farm buildings and a building site. There is one shower and one toilet and a waste water emptying station. As previous reviews mentioned, no soap and a lot of cob webs etc. It would make the place so much more appealing, if once a week, someone went into these areas and removed webs etc. Lots of bins to recycle individual rubbish (card/glass/paper/food etc). I would recommend this place to someone wanting to stop over onto another destination, but the general unloved look of the whole place deters me coming to stay for a period of time. Saying that, the owner was nice enough, and I would return. But I would haggle the cost down to no more than £10 per night.

Lovely tranquil site, adults only.

We have just returned from 6 nights at this cl and will definitely be going back. We were greeted on arrival and shown where the facilities were, it was explained where we could pitch, we were given the choice of grass or hard standing, we offered to pay the balance but was told there was no hurry. The site was lovely, the owners were about and available if we needed them but we were left on our own to enjoy our break. Just off the m5 the site was very easy to get to and it was easy to tour around. Within a couple of miles was a large caravan and motor home dealership with accessories (just in case), a large tesco's and numerous pubs, restuarants etc The setting was lovely and the site was tranquil and very conducive to relaxing and chiling out, just what we needed. The facilities included a fresh drinking water, a toilet, shower, elsan emptying area and recyling for the rubbish/waste. The toilet did not contain soap or toilet roll as the previous person commented but what on earth do they expect for £10 a night, we simply purchased some soap and toilet rolls and placed them in the toilet (for our own convenience) and that of others on the site if they choose to use them, the cost was less than £3 and for us well worth it (and it saved us having to take these items with us each time we used the toilet). We were very pleased with the site and will definateky use again, our only negative would be the shower, this either rain cold or hot water it was impossible to get a control of both temperatures which meant you either had a freezing shower or a scolding one but as long as you have a shower in your outfit then you can easily get by without this. 3 other couples we met on site all felt the same as us and will hopefully add their reviews.
