Top Class

Having just returned from having 4days here Oct 2014, hand on heart this CL is perfect! We had a lovely warm welcome from Mr & Mrs Astley, offered help in pitching, explained where everything was, points of interest on the island in a relaxed and warm manner. There are approx 15 super Pitch Points with 16amp electric, own water tap and grey waste disposal covering two fields for you to choose from, the site is very well maintained each pitch affording excellent vistas across Anglesey, there are two modern bathrooms each with shower, sink and toilet, well kept, stocked and maintained, the shower is a snip at £1 loads of hot water. There is a small barn for you to enjoy complete with games, pool table, pinball table, TV, freezer & stereo free to use. The site has easy access, very slight slope but Mr Astley helped with levelling blocks for us, large bins inc recycle and central for all of the island to explore, Jess the dog came to visit us and play with our dog numerous occasions and she a an absolute joy. Fully recommend you pay this site a visit, peace and tranquility, views to die for and a friendly warm experience, didn't want to leave, definitely come back, if you are thinking of starting a CL, come here and see how it's done! Thank you Mr & Mrs Astley and Lola misses Jess xx

Wonderful!

We are regular visitors to Anglesey but this was our first stay on a CL there. It is set in a beautiful, central part of the island with views of Snowdonia, the coast, part of Holyhead mountain and Parys Mountain. It is an open site and we were there during a wild, windy week but this was not a problem. We saw some amazing sunsets and have the photos to remind us of how good they were. The owners were very welcoming and very friendly and so was their lovely dog and this helped make the holiday so enjoyable! We had all the facilities that we needed and more with the games room which entertained our teenage children. We loved our stay there and will definitely return.

Wow!!!!! But...

Breathtakingly spectacular views: the mountains, the sea and local countryside form the 360 degree stunning views with wonderful sunsets too. Anglesey is fantastic (free parking at most beaches). Too many CLs are enclosed and feel claustrophobic – this is the complete opposite!  John and Sarah are wonderful hosts, with daily visits to check everyone is alright and not in need of anything whilst also respecting your privacy. He happily helps to set up and level vans on arrival, comes to say goodbye and thank you for your custom on departure: also a caravanner himself. He allows his friendly and clearly well-trained dog, Jess, to roam freely on site, she loves kids and will play ball with them for hours.  However, we booked and expected to be on a CL. On arrival there were already 5 vans on site and earlier on this year a “paddock” area “overflow” had been created adjacent to the CL in an L shape. It is in full view with just a wooden fence separating the two with the facilities and site entrance shared. I fully appreciate that this has become a popular site not only due to the aforementioned views and hosting but also because of the well-kept toilets, showers (£1 a time and gave plenty of time for a good, warm shower) and large games room available (with pool table, table football, PlayStation, table tennis, books/magazines, sofa, and space for younger children to play). The site is very neat and tidy. There are also a couple of picnic tables available too along with water to every pitch and grey waste available on some as well. The CDP is neatly fenced off with a tap for rinsing out.  But this site is simply too big and really ought not to be advertised as a CL as there were frequently more than 5 vans on the CL section during our stay of 18 nights (the most being 9 units on the CL at one point). John and Sarah are in danger of spoiling what they have. We came wanting a relaxing and peaceful rest away from everything and chose a 5 van site because we work intensely with people all day everyday and want/need the break from being around too many others. Instead we suffered from the busyness of so many vans on site with all the associated noises from people and pets along with disturbances of comings and goings. At one stage there were 13 vans across the whole site and still had EHU and water points available for even more vans!  With the small pitch size (as per water tap allocation), proximity of vans, a large tent, and blocked views (we had 4 vans lined up in a row in front of us at one point!) at times this made for a very claustrophobic stay, and our holiday wasn’t all what we had hoped.  I guess the proof of the pudding for a site is whether or not you would return and we genuinely have mixed feelings about this. It wasn’t the peaceful relaxing location we had hoped, but the location, views and many other things most certainly were.

Absolute paradise

We have just returned home from one of the best holidays we have ever had one one of the best CL's we've ever stayed on. Peace tranquility, excellent facilities including individual water taps for each pitch. Magnificent 360degree panoramic views over the rolling Anglesey countryside with the spectacular backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia and the LLeyn Peninsular.  A mini 2 two room shower and toilet block and a games room are part of the excellent facilities. The owners, John and Sarah. Astley were so welcoming and helpful. John is a lovely man who obviously gets a great kick out of welcoming visitors to his farm and to Anglesey. Highly recommended to all - absolutely top notch - Martin and Emma Jones - ( Sheffield )

Hidden gem

Would love to keep this little gem secret for ourselves! Perfect service right from my first email with Sarah to all our conversations with John on site. Yes it was a little windy on occasion but the 360 degree views more than make up for that. We stayed as a family of four and we all made good use of the games room polishing up on our table tennis skills. Good central location to explore the whole of the island but also perfect for the peace and quiet we were looking for. We had a fantastic week and will definitely be back.

ANGLESEY STAY

What a lovely CL. We were greeted by John with a warm smile and handshake. He was very helpful with setting up of our van. He provided us with a map of the island. Games room was a real bonus. Very well maintained pitches with excellent views of the mountains. Showers excellent £1 lasted for ever. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

AMAZING

This was one of the best CL sites we have been to, when we arrived it was blowing a gale and pouring with rain. I went to knock at the farm house door and was greeted with a lovely big smile and a warm welcome by John. He came out in the horrible weather and helped us pitch without a moan he was brilliant. He even went to long lengths to get our van level. We have never had such good service before on a CL site. On site there is super shower block with two showers set up as wet rooms very clean and plenty of room. There is a games/TV room that has plenty for both kids and adults. John was very helpful and attentive and most days came for a chat to see where we had been and give us advice on places to go. The only down side to the site was its openness there was no shelter from the wind which we got a couple of nights other than that we could not fault it.

Just got back from 5 days at this lovely site. When we arrived as there was no`one in we pitched up on one of the designated pitches. Lovely veiws all around, countryside and distant sea.Own watertap and elec. caravans to both sides and one had 3 dogs which we didn`t realise till the following day,as they were kept by their own caravan.John the owner came every morn to check everything was ok and have a chat advising of places to visit. The 2 shower/wet rooms were great and kept clean and topped up with soap, paper towels etc.we would certaintly recommend it and go again.Cannot understand previous review and totally disagree.

The Best CL site!!

My family and I have just returned from a week in Anglesey at this outstanding CL site. The site is only small but very well maintained. the pitches are excellent with water and waste facilities on each pitch! we were met by John the owner who helped us set up the caravan on the pitch. the toilets and shower facilities are fantastic (£1.00 coin meter to operate) and the games room was excellent for the kids and I, we played pool, table tennis and on the playstation and games provided. The 360 degree view from our caravan was spectacular, the scenary is amazing. I would recommend this site to everyone, it is in a great location and only 10 minutes away from the beach. I will be returning to the site very soon. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. thanks Clive

A Great stay!

My husband and I were lucky enough to stumble upon a beautiful little caravan club certified site, situated in the wonderful setting of welsh countryside in a little place called Llannerch-y- Medd in Anglesey. We were greeted by a very jolly looking man called John who turned out to be the site owner, he helped us set up our motorhome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. He suggested we park near the toilet block due to my disability issues, so this was brilliant for me. and really helped. The site itself houses up to 5 motorhomes or caravans and each pitch has its own hook up and water points which proved really handy as you didnt have to walk very far when you needed water. The toilet block consisted of two extremely clean cubicles each room was made into a wet room which was white with a tiled floor and great lighting, so it made it lovely and bright. Complete with a powerful shower, sink with a large mirror over it, a seat and WC the room was lovely and spacious so it was delightful getting ready in the mornings. They also had a lovely games room for children and adults equipped with a pool table, table football, table tennis there is a karaoke machine ,dart board,Tv with a games console with games along with toys, books and magazines ensuring there is plenty to do on a wet day.Along with the stunning views and fabulous extremely helpful site owners. We really couldnt have asked for anything more for our stay. We will definitely be back
