We decided on Thursday night that we would head away for the weekend and wanted somewhere within 2 hours of home, did the usal checks and best forecast was Maryport so thats how we ended up here. I called to make the booking and Eileen was very friendly and helpful during the call, she told me she might not be there when I arrive and would leave a key. Unfortunately I couldn't find it and had to knock the house door which I now know isn't Eileen's. Eileen arrived with in 5 mins and due to the wet week we've had she recommended we stay on the drive as no one else was booked in, this wasn't and issue. The site it's self is basic but lovely at the same time and Ideal for walking into town or the coast path. After chatting to Eileen on the day of our departure she mentioned they had toyed with the idea of adding showers and toilet, in my opinion this would spoil the site and the price would have to goo up. In my opinion £8.50 a night with hook up on the edge of town can't be beat.
