Dissapointed

The overall impression of the site is one of slight neglect. The field is long but narrow and only two thirds of its width is kept short the remainder is some 12 to 18 inches high resulting in limited space.Along 1 boundary are some low derelict stores wich add to the run down look. The final half a mile to the site is along a bendy single track road with passing places, once off the road the "farm buildings" mentioned in the directions are in fact a number of Nissan Huts now used for car repairs so be prepared to ask for obstructing vehicles to be moved.Icannot comment on the welcome received as the owner was out and his son had no Knowledge of the site other than to take our fees. We only saw the owner once in 7 days but he was in a hurry and could not stop to talk. On the plus side the facilities were clean and the site was quiet even though it had its full complement of caravans. It is also in a good location for such places as Leeds Castle,Hever Castle and Chartwell.

Very Nice. I Shall Be Back.

Easy to find with good signposting. A very pleasant secluded little field with the owners the other side of the trees in their bungalow. Never met them as they were away but Mr Turpin was very friendly on the phone. The grass was tended very nicely. The facilities were functional and clean, with messages leaving notes to wish their guests a pleasant stay. I got 2 bars 3G on the mobile phone (O2) and a full range of TV channels on the Status Aerial. Very close to the Hop Farm. My only concern would be drainage, if it rained heavy. It's clay and was a bit boggy in places even after 3 days of dry weather. I am however looking forward to returning.

Tranquil Hideaway

What a lovely, well maintained site with plenty of room per pitch and clean showers and toilets. The owners are very friendly and helpful and really appreciate their 'customers and make well-behaved dogs very welcome. The site itself is very peaceful but easy to find and within short distances of public transport, shops, various different tourist attractions and easy walks. You won't be disappointed with this site.
