Just back from a four night stay at New Mills Marina with our twin axle tourer. The site is just on the edge of New Mills town alongside the colourful marina complete with narrow boats. New mills town has many interesting places to visit. Don’t miss the Millennium walkway easily accessed on foot from the site. There are two local train stations so you could have a day out in Buxton or other destination. There are two toilet shower rooms for use by caravanners and boat owners. The pitches are all hard standing with hook up of course. The ground is very hard and I was glad I didn’t have to try hammering pegs in. Pitch 5 has the best aspect at its side with a grass and seating area adjacent. The pitches are narrow and Motorhomes particularly if they have doors on the off side should consider their proximity to the van next door when parking up. The site is well organised and the person in charge was helpful and friendly. The security gates were out of order during the course of our stay but that was not a worry for us, There is a small shop on site but you will find a number of great independent shops, cafes and pubs within a short walk towards the town.
