Lovely quiet site.

Lovely welcome from owner Ivan who greeted us on arrival. No chocks needed on this flat field. Facilities were clean and stocked. We all enjoyed a restful night's sleep in a dark and peaceful area of Suffolk within easy reach of Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham, Ipswich, Suffolk Punch Trust, Bentwaters Air Museum...et al. We will definitely return ... and will enjoy a pony and trap ride next time. Recommended site for East Suffolk attractions.

GOOD CL WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN

Large flat CL, plenty of room so vans are well spaced out. Grass cut short. Very tidy. Owner helpful and friendly. It is a bonus to have toilet and showers on a CL, cannot agree with a previous reviewer about the state of them, they were fine while we were here. Very peaceful site. Agree with previous comments about access roads, quite narrow so could be difficult for larger units, but roads are far from busy. 10 mins to Woodbrige and A12 and 10 mins to A14 in other direction so many places are quickly accessible from the site. Would stay here again when in the area.

Nice Site -But !

Nice Flat Well Drained Site,A Bit Out Of The Way We Thought And No View Only Stored Caravans We Were Facing,,The Complaint We Had Was That The TOILET AND SHOWERS ARE NOT CLEANED EVERYDAY,The Owners Must Have Spent A Lot Of Cash On The 2 Wet Rooms Plus The Toilet Room,Tiled Floors And Walls But They Were Dirty,No Toilet Paper For 4 DAYS,The Washbasin Was YUK,Toilet Seat Was Broken And A Towel Behind The Door To Dry Your Hands On Well I Wouldn't Have Cleaned My Van With It,I Did Speak To The Owner And To Be Fair He Did Clean Them Both That Was Thursday The 7th September 2017,We Left On The Sunday 10th September 2017 And They Had Not Been Cleaned Again Disgusting,We Will Not Be Visiting This Site Again

Excellent

Stayed on site recently for a week to give disabled mother in law holiday. Excellent site. Warm welcome. Very good shower and toilet area, one of the best we have found on a CL. Nice pub in nearby village. Quiet and very dark at night- bring telescope!

First stay at Newlands

We arrived late on Friday evening and received a warm welcome from the owner. The country lanes are a bit narrow in places but just take your time. Coddenham is quite tight so just give way to anything oncoming. Site was very peaceful and quiet - the pitches were large, level and the ground was firm. Very close to Ipswich and surrounding attractions - good walks and cycle rides on fairly quiet lanes. Visited The Dog in Grundisburgh and had a good lunch all freshly cooked and delicious. Our only small point is that we were disappointed the toilet and showers were not quite as clean as they could have been (although we did visit on a weekend). They are modern and adequate in size and if they had been spotless, we would definitely have given Newlands a five star rating. We would still recommend this site to friends as it is a gem of a site.

An Excellent Location

Excellent CL with level well drained grass and a very peaceful site. Good walks close by and quiet lanes and country roads. Good food at local pubs and a beautiful part of the Suffolk countryside. Access is good - if travelling from the West the road through Coddenham has a short single-track section as does the road to the site from the North; however, these sections were not a problem. The owner was very helpful and met us on arrival. There is a farm just West of the site that sells fresh eggs and honey. There is a PO store for newspapers and groceries in Grundesburgh. Mobile phone coverage was weak on BT but TV reception was good.

Small and Friendly

Went to the site for the first time a few weeks ago for a weekend. Great site in peaceful location in the countryside. Small site so not overcrowded. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower facilities clean and modern. Pitches are grass, level and mowed. Totally relaxed atmosphere. Great for use, but if you have children to keep amused there may not have enough going on, now TV hook-up or internet. We will be going back over the August bank holiday weekend.

Spacious, level site.

Met by owner on arrival and made very welcome. Plenty of space, large marked pitches. A lot of places to visit in the area, including Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Minsmere RSPB, Felixstowe and Ipswich. Recommended. Will be back again.
