Just what we were looking for!

Stayed overnight on 21/10, during the tail end of Storm Brian, as we were visiting former neighbours who had moved to Huntingdon a couple of years ago. Directions off the A14 could be clearer,as we ended up going through the village, but site access was easy off the Great North Road. We were the only ones there in our motorhome, Flo, so picked a great level spot in a corner. and listened to the wind howling.Walked into Alconbury village - lovely - and looked round the beautiful Church of St Peter, and St.Paul, and supported their local Project 21 by buying locally made jams.pickles and jewellery. The village has a convenience store open until 7.30 most days and a nice looking pub/restaurant - Black Rock- which we will try next time! Good Sports/social Club over the road, which had a Duathlon on Sunday morning, which was well supported. Slightly disorientated by faint music etc from this event at 7.30 on Sunday morning, but no real issue with people having fun! Didn't see the owners to be able to thank them for a spacious, basic site, with just the sheep in the next field for company. Enjoyed our brief stay C & C
