Beware of this site

We stayed here for 1 night in 2017 and left very early the next morning. The site had at least 3 permanent caravans being lived in. When we arrived one of these occupants moved their car into an empty pitch to stop us using it - nice! She said she was thinking of moving her 'van to that pitch when I asked why she had blocked it, but clearly she had no intention of doing so, as she had a full awning up and long grass all around her 'van. Over the next few hours, the site filled with 'vans and motorhomes, to the point 9 were onsite. When our friends (who had booked) arrived in the evening all electric points where in use (10 of them), but one had just been plugged in with the lead going nowhere, just in a role on the grass (this has been plugged in by a neighbouring caravan when we arrived to stop us using the point! even thought the 'van was already plugged into one of the other electric points). Our friends unplugged the useless lead and used that electric point, but they faced verbal aggressive abuse from the neighbouring caravan when he realised what had happened a few hours later. He had no explanation for why he had a cable plugged in that led nowhere! We could only speak to the owners, as we never saw them on site. The site has the potential to be nice, but years of neglect (overgrown hedges, bad water facilities, no signage at all) mean that you should steer clear. How it passes any kind of "inspection" by the club is beyond me.
