Peaceful Countryside Escape

A lovely little CL. Good sized pitches with lovely views across the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Perfect hosts who welcomed us on arrival. A great little stopover on our way down to Uttoxeter races. Will stay there again without hesitation.

Lovely stay

Lovely little site and much quieter than we expected being alongside the A51 … very little traffic Very nice lady who couldn’t do enough for us Excellent location for Nantwich and Bridgemere gardens … both just a few miles in either direction Shame that you can’t really walk anywhere safely as no pathways from the site but would definitely recommend and stay again

I wish this site was on my door step I would be a regular

A lovely site, with easy access and spacious level pitches. Great area for exercising our 2 year old labrador which makes our time away easy so we can recharge our batteries. Jeff & Alison were very welcoming. Fresh eggs on arrival was a lovely gesture. We will definitely return. All the best Scott, Tanya & Ted

3 night mini-break

I have visited this site on numerous occasions over the last 3 years that I have had a touring caravan- each visit has been a lovely time in countryside surroundings. Jeff and Alison were welcoming as usual with a couple of eggs from their hens. I drove to Crewe where I boarded the train to travel to Southport where I had a lovely time at the beach with the obligatory fish & chip lunch! I also visited Bridgemere and purchased some perennials and new walking boots from Mountain Warehouse. Another short holiday break is in the offing soon at this site

Second visit, more to come

Second visit here, it's handy for visiting a relative in a nursing home in Nantwich. Warm welcome by Jeff and Allison with complimentary eggs from their own hens. It had been very wet so the grass areas were quite muddy, but the hardstandings are wide enough to get past without acquiring mucky feet if you pitch sensibly. Evident that on a couple of pitches previous users had had awnings up and groundsheets down that had damaged the turf, which will take time to recover. The only drawback that we have encountered here is the lack of a footway on a fairly busy road that makes a walk to the pub and back a tad iffy. We drove to Audlem twice to do walks along the canal, but parking in the village can be tricky. Best at the weekend. Nearby Dagfields antiques and crafts centre is worth a visit, with the excellent Cheshire Pie Co selling all the grocery essentials at reasonable prices, including a good meat counter. Slightly further afield is Bridgemere Garden Centre, which is enormous and also has numerous retail outlets. There is a bus four times a day into Nantwich, but it doesn't go past the site, you have to pick it up at the pub or in Wybunbury village.

Perfect

We stayed here in January. Lovely little site , easy to find and welcomed warmly by Alison and Jeff. Alison brought us fresh eggs from their chickens too. Site was well looked after very clean amd tidy. Information board useful. On our first morning we had a flat battery and Jeff came to our rescue getting us going so we could drive to get a new battery fitted. Had a lovely walk round nantwich and ate at the pub opposite the church (can't remember name) . All in all a peaceful relaxing weekend and somewhere we would definitely recommend and will be returning ourselves . Thank-you to Alison amd Jeff x

Booked 4 nights, stayed 5

Very Easy access and a lovely warm welcome from Alison & Jeff. Large pitches with great views, amazing sunsets and dark skies. Just about walkable to 2-3 pubs. The site has everything you need as a caravaner or motorhomer. Very safe area, good satellite and TV reception. What we liked most was the large open gate, very well fenced and privacy between pitches if you want it. Jeff and Alison are lovely hosts and extremely helpful. Very highly recommended place. Lots to do nearby and easy access from M6 and major roads. Very little traffic when you wish to travel outside of the site. Only downside is its not great for nervous cyclists. That said, lots of dedicated profesionals around riding

Another lovely short break at this cl site

I booked a 3 night stay with Alison at this site at short notice- they advised I could pitch up as I was familiar with the location of all the amenities. The site was spotless as usual. I visited bridgemere garden centre and took a train trip on the Lancashire coast starting at Crewe. Jeff even brought me a couple of eggs from their hens which were delicious. Thanks again Alison and Jeff. I’ll be back!

Nice site in a lovely setting

What a great discovery! Been looking for a decent CL around Nantwich, where my sister is now in residential care, so that we can visit more conveniently. Now we have found you! Perfect, welcoming hosts, well thought out site provision, good level pitches (although no 3 may be a tad tight for a large outfit with an awning!), and what appears to be well drained ground. We will definitely be back.
