Great Location

This site is in a lovely location if you want peace and quiet. Slightly disappointed that no WiFi unless you went to the bungalow and the grass could have been shorter . Plenty of walks from the site and a lovely dog friendly pub in Kirkby on Bain that also serves delicious food. Not sure how things would work if the site was full or how the hard stands work. Personally think it’s slightly expensive for what’s provided

Loved this site

We stayed at Oaklea in our motorhome for a very enjoyable week at the end of October/beginning of November. The site was perfect for us and we found the owner very helpful. We loved the peace and tranquility and spaciousness of the site, as did our dogs! We wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

Peaceful site

Spent three nights here in June. Very easy to find - follow detailed instructions on CMHC site. Wonderful surroundings - shrubs & trees are fascinating. Quiet & peaceful. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Lots to explore in the area including the comparatively new Lincs Wildlife Trust nature reserve at the old Woodhall Spa RAF base.

Runner Up...??

We can only imagine Oaklea was a runner up for the award for best CL simply as there is no toilet/shower facilities, the site itself is breathtakingly beautiful. Piotr is very warm, welcoming and extremely interesting to talk with. The woodland walks are delightful with the bonus of Jays (seen plenty) and Tawny Owls (heard plenty, sadly did not get to see any on this visit). It rather depends what you are looking for, but if beautiful countryside, nature, peace & quite are high on your list of requirements it is hard to visualise anywhere better than this. The autumn colours are stunning! 10/10 Piotr, so beautiful and thank you for kindly sharing your wonderful garden. Alan & Amanda

beautiful site

This is one of those sites which you almost want to keep a secret for fear of not being able to get a pitch next time you want one! but to do so would be to do the owner a terrible dis-service. It's lovely- a massive beautifully maintained level well drained lawned area set with specimen trees, surrounded by pretty native birch / oak woodland. Obviously a labour of love for Piotr the owner. Loads of room- no set pitches as such- with plenty of space between so that you can both enjoy expansive views across the lawn but still have complete privacy from your neighbors. Set well back from a quite road- so no traffic noise. Fabulous starry skies at night. Handy for Woodhall Spa and the local attractions. Lots of bird and wild life. Can recommend the Steak Pie from the Ebrington Arms just down the road- but be sure to book a table. 2 nights isn't long enough to stay here- will definitely be back. Highly recommended (but don't tell anyone!!)

Just fabulous!

What can we say? Stayed for a week and could have stayed longer. A wonderful CL. Quiet, friendly, beautiful; lots to see and do in the area; or you could just stay put and enjoy this wonderful CL. Plenty of places to walk dogs nearby. Ostlers Plantation 5 mins walk away and the wonderful Water Rail Way a 10 min drive away. Great beaches for dogs about 40 mins drive away.

An undiscovered sanctuary!

We have just spent a wonderful two weeks at Oaklea and have loved our stay. The arboretum has been created (still ongoing) by the owners with such vision, clarity and love that one feels are though you're truly away from the rat race of life. Piotr is always on hand for advice and runs the site with such efficiency. There is so much to do locally and suits all needs, from walkers, cyclists or just sitting in a quaint tea shop watching life go by and tucking into plum loaf. We shall return and a big thank you for allowing us " caravanners" to share your haven. Penny,Liam and Ellie from Tunbridge Wells

A beautiful CL for chilling.

Booking this CL was easy with communication to the owners by email answered quickly. We were met on arrival at site by the owner who advised us of all the necessary information and gave us a choice of pitch. The site and pitches are level and have pretty views all around the site. We chose a nice grass pitch but was some 40+ mtrs from the hookup bollard but Piotr the owner quickly supplied the loan of another cable to enable us to stay where we were. It was very clean, very quiet, and peaceful, yet not too far from local amenities. The directions to the CL were accurate with the entrance easy to locate giving wide access too. Is the CL nice? Very. Will we return? For sure we will. Thank you for a very pleasant weekend stay Piotr.

Amazing Site

This is a totally amazing site. Spacious, quiet, plenty of walking directly from the site. The site is very well laid out, with wonderful views of all the trees that have been planted. You often see deer walking across the grass areas. Woodhall Spa itself is a walkable distance. We loved this site and would highly recommend it. The site owner is friendly and helpful, without being "in your face" all the time. He's also hard working, keeping the site looking tidy, and well cared for. There's grass and hardstanding pitches, so well suitable for either a summer holiday, or a winter get away from it all.
