Not for us .........
Firstly I must point out that our review is based on our stay during the strange times we are currently living in ...........
The site is easy to find, not to far off A31 but if your towing entering the site can be a challenge as your unit will straddle the road while you open the gates. Once through the main gates there is a further gate to negotiate to enter the field, neither gates are very wide so expert driving is required.
As stated in other reviews the pitches are very big & the site is sheltered by trees & fences, which is ideal if it is windy but for us it felt to enclosed. I can’t comment on the facilities as they were closed due to Covid-19 rules. The London Tavern was recommended as a venue to eat but unfortunately they didn’t serve food the night we were there (Tuesday), we bought a takeaway meal from The White Heart which I could highly recommend. My biggest grip was the cost, £20 for one night, no reduction in fees even though the only facilities available were EHU, water tap & toilet emptying & as this was an overnight transit stop for us we barely used any, although I did read that the showers are actually operated via a coin box which would add to the cost of the stay. I was of the belief that CL sites were a cheaper solution with just the necessary facilities & my understanding that the national VAT cut in place was being passed onto the customer, certainly not the case at Old Farm. TV reception was poor but mobile good. So in summary this site maybe good for some but not one we will revisited.
