Brilliant little CL

This is only the second visit to a cl, what can I say this is a little gem, site is easy accessible, the owner advisors you how to pitch when you make the booking. When we arrived there was only one other van on site, so we were able to pitch were we wanted (yellow pitch markers). The site is well maintained and the grass had been cut, the toilet was clean and loo roll and hand wash supplied. The views are fantastic and there are plenty of walks for dogs, although sheep are in the adjacent field, so they need to be kept on a lead until you get by that. There is local pub which does take away fish and chips, we didn't try so cant comment on that. Our two children both enjoyed it which was a nice surprise, as we normally use cc sites or commercial sites. I would definitely recommend this site and we will come back and £10 night with electric.

lovely site

picked this site because it was close to relatives who live in the village, glad we did its a lovely place to stay, quite, nice views, footpaths a plenty, pitched on a lawned area to the right of the house drive, what more can you ask for . One thing that does astound me with all the information available through the caravan club how some members can have there outfits so badly set up that there cars spin to get out, when the grass wasn't at all soft, I do wonder what the handling is like in poor driving conditions !!!

10 Days

10 days here and what a nice place to stay. Yes there is a bridleway passing the camp site, however watching the odd dog walker/runner is not an issue. Owners very nice and the views are great. Both pubs in Woodbrough are nice and do good food. TV reception is a bit poor through statis Ariel but once ran through an old sky box that boots the signal and happy days. We will go back.

One night stopover

Greeted by owner on arrival and directed to all facilities. Pitches all fairly level and all with lovely view of the rolling hills which surround site. A web of footpaths can be reached just outside the gate. The bridleway which passes the site does not spoil the site IMHO. Facilities are rustic but perfectly clean and useable. Only stayed for one night so cannot comment on TV reception nor the local pubs, other than to say breakfast is available at the Nags Head on Sundays. Would recommend.

dissapointing

Found the name farm misleading. Found the area too public with dog owners, horse riders and walkers/runners using the roadway. One young family member on a bike passing through the caravans. Lastly 4 good pitches with the 5th in the wrong position. Caravan parked there and completely obliterated our view.

Excellent Site in a Peaceful Village

We stayed on this CL for 5 nights and found it an oasis of peace! With ready access to walking paths we found our way to adjacent villages (and a pub or two) through rolling scenery. We enjoyed good food at the Four Bells on two occasions, though didn't try the Nag's Head. The owners of the CL were very helpful and even lent us a very substantial aerial mounted on a surveyor's ranging pole, which meant good reception on our new TV! We would recommend this CL.

Old Manor farm

A wonderful, very peaceful, CL situated on a farm and with plenty of walks, including some direct from the site. Food in the Nags Head was good (dogs allowed in the beer garden).

Nice site & location

Located just outside a nice village this site is very peaceful and has good views over rolling countryside. Access is easy and the site is reasonably level (where we were at least!) It is located alongside a public footpath that splits out into nice walks of varying distances in all directions. The village has a couple of pubs, both looked good, we went to the Four Bells which was very nice with well presented and good quality food and pleasant and efficient service.

Old Manor Farm.

This is a great CL we had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Great walks from the site and a lovely local pub"Nags Head" within walking distance. Nice view from the caravan. One slight negative was our pitch needed a big block to run up on, but you expect that in that area of the country. But for £10 per night with EHU amazing value. I can't rave about CL's enough. If you have children, White post farm, Sun Down adventures, and Robin hood centre was great. Thankyou for a nice stay Mrs D Elkington see you soon.
