One of our best CL stays - great site, lovely owner, wonderful area

We really enjoyed our week at Old Street Farm in every way. Amy is a lovely lady, welcoming and helpful. The site is spacious and well organised, sloping but not a problem. It is located on a quiet country lane, with great access to quiet lanes for our cycle rides around beautiful Norfolk villages. Holt is a delightful, interesting town, the only supermarket being Budgens which is struggling in a temporary shop after a serious fire, parking is not easy with the rebuilding work but the selection inside is very good quality. It was somewhat unfortunate that two of our days here had the first heatwave, but I found shade behind the caravan in the corner under a tree. We walked in Holt Country Park one very hot morning and found it a delightful place with woodland and a wildlife pond.

A little bit of Paradise Nr Holt

What a brilliant, quiet and peaceful CL. It has everything we want, Great views, Large pitches, Ease of exploring the area. It is a sloping site but nothing drastic. Amy is a bonus, She told us about places to go and to eat. and kept you informed what was going on. We will certainly be back for another stay when we return to Norfolk.

Lovely Short Break

This was our first experience of using our motorhome. Amy was very friendly and helpful both in person on arrival and in the communications beforehand. As other reviews have mentioned, it is a sloping site and so we had to use our ramps. We walked to The Pigs for a drink in the evening and also managed a longer circular route to have an excellent Sunday roast at The Hunworth Bell.

Fantastic weekend break

We have just returned from an amazing weekend in our motorhome at Old Street Farm. We received a warm friendly welcome after following the directions we received via email. Pitches were well spaced, have lovely views and there is an information hut with plenty of details to browse. The site itself slopes slightly but we already knew this as it is detailed in the site info. Location wise, this was a perfect peaceful base for us to explore. There’s plenty of walking/cycling options locally. We cycled into Holt and called in at The Pigs on the way back for drinks. We also visited Clay next the Sea which was a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this site and we hope to return when we are next in the area.

Lovely Breakaway

We recently spent a week at Old Street Farm CL, Edgefield. It is a lovely quiet site, with wonderful views. Plenty of space between pitches, a well looked after site, with a little information hut and the usual practical facilities. This is a sloping site and we needed to use our chocks but had been pre-warned in their site information. Peter came out to meet us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. We met Amy the next morning and had a lovely chat about the area and suggested places to see and eat. Nothing seemed too much trouble, as we were seeking advice on where to eat and a local taxi service to use for our wedding anniversary. We dined at The Three Horseshoes in Briston, The Hunworth Bell at Hunworth and The Pigs in Edgefield (walking distance). All were good places for food. Whilst there we visited, Sheringham, Blankney, Wells Next to Sea and Holt. There are plenty of walks in the area but due to the wet weather we decided to avoid them but would love to go back again and make use of these. On the morning of our departure, Amy came out to say goodbye and again had a quick chat to make sure we were happy with the CL, which we were. Although the weather was a little inclement for us we had a lovely relaxing week and will definitely use this site again when in the area.

Just Perfect

We stayed here during the half term and just loved how peaceful the site and area were. This was our first CL and what a brilliant first impression. Amy was very welcoming and her directions given were very easy to follow. The information hut had everything we needed to make the most of our stay and the amenities were spot on. The site has beautiful countryside views and my children loved seeing the horses and chickens. The site is roughly 20 minutes from Cromer and Sheringham and Holt is on the doorstep so there's plenty of things to do. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to book in this area of Norfolk. We look forward to staying here again.

Oct stay

We stayed here at the end of September beginning of October for five nights. We had a fantastic time the site was very peaceful and we were able to park at the top of the field with a great view of open countryside. It is within easy biking distance of Holt, Clay next the Sea and Sheringham and within walking distance of the pigs restaurant. Very friendly host and good facilities. We strongly recommend a visit here.

What more could you wish for!

Beautiful site in a quiet location only about 3 miles from Holt! Amy greeted us with warm welcome on arrival & explained the whereabouts of the facilities on the site-apart from that she kept a low profile! Great value for money & probably one of the best CL's we have ever stayed on!
