Excellent site

We received a very friendly welcome and some great advice on local places of interest. The grassy site was well maintained and had survived the dry summer very well. The facilities were clean and well looked after. An excellent base for visiting the many lovely towns and villages in the area, the Wolds scenery and the Yorkshire coastline.

Gem of a site

What a beautiful site. The view from the site was amazing! Following the instructions to find the site and you won’t go wrong! A very well kept site, the grass was well cut and the toilet facilities where very clean. Easy access into York or towards the moors. We will be back!

Beautifully maintained site

Beautifully maintained site with lovely owners. The grass it kept immaculate as is the whole site. Wonderful views whether you are at the front or back (There is even a hairdressers on site if you need a haircut) Easy access off the main road but beware don't go off the satnav, read the directions in the book otherwise you may find yourselves on a single track road that is not easy to turn the your outfit. We enjoyed 7 nights here and will definitely return. Thank you Julie for a lovely stay.

What a lovely cl with fantastic views

A fantastic CL site, Julie was very helpful and friendly, The grass is extremely well kept, there is 1 toilet , ELSAN disposal point , waste water point, electrical hook up and Adults Only. The site is in a great location for walkers or sight seeing. Saturday night we had some great fish & chip from the deep blue in Wetwang it used to be Harpers but still as good. Thanks for a great stay, John & Wendy

Blissful

Lovely well kept site with gorgeous view to the south. I just hope the hedges to the west and east aren't allowed to grow much taller, the west hedge is already hiding a lovely beech wood and the easterly hedge is the horrible Leylandi . I know it's for a wind break but.... once they get to a certain height they become forgotten and run riot which would be awful. Exceptional value at £12 a night. Did I mention I hate tall hedges? A great site in beautiful countryside with traffic free roads, getting a bit rare is that.

Orchard Cottage Fridaythorpe.

We visited this site from 5th to 12 June 2018 as a base to explore some of the Yorkshire coast and countryside. What a lovely site. Could not have picked better. One of the best kept sites we have seen in recent times. Had a couple of conversations with Mrs Thompson, who gave us some good local information about places to visit. Easy access and very spacious. Should really keep it quiet as every one will want to stay here, but can't do that. Will hopefully return in the future. Andy R

Location Location Location all the C's

What a gem, whether you want the Coast, City or Countryside you are in easy reach for the all and they are all a must.... Coast plenty to choose from, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is well worth a visit from May til the end of August 250,000 sea birds to feast your eyes on. York City, down the A166 to the Park & Ride easy access to the centre of York which is steeped in History with the Minster the centre piece then the Viking centre, Roman occupation and artefacts, to the National Railway Museum plus much much more... Then there's the countryside, you're in the Yorkshire Wolds and a car drive away from the North York Moors so plenty of walking and or Biking potential. The site itself is one on the best CL sites we've been on with a great big warm welcome from Neil and Julie. The site and facilities are kept immaculately by Neil and is always available to help in any way he can to make your stay a real peaceful and stress free one. We will return one day when we are in the area. You won't be disappointed with this CL site but you need to book in advance 'cos everyone won't to stay here!

Fantastic little site

Stayed at this site last weekend after booking a last minute stay and will definitely be back. Even though we didn't arrive until 8pm due to traffic problems, the owners came out to meet us and showed us where everything was and helped us pitch up ready for the following day. The site is immaculately kept with a purpose built area to the right hand side for waste, water and toilet facilities. It is a very peaceful site where you can enjoy the local wildlife to the full. Watch out for the appearance of the peacock around 7.30am; he is very tame and just sits and watches the world go by in the far corner of the site not fussed by anything going on around him. The site is also ideal for visiting the local area as Bridlington and York are only 16 miles away to the left or right and there are two villages (Wetwang and Stamford Bridge) close by for those wanting pubs, shops etc and a garage open from 7am everyday for the essentials. All in all a great place to stay for a week or few days.
