Ok for a short stay.

We stayed here for one night as a stop over. Mrs Wilkinson very welcoming. Reasonably easy to get in and out, although the road past the site was very busy and impossible to walk along - not really anywhere to walk a dog. The long extension for the motorhome electricity didn’t seem very safe to us - once the users had gone it was left on the wet grass still switched on, as there were young children around we turned it off as we left.

Great CL

We booked this site with ease, great communication from owners who also gave us a very friendly welcome. We were on the hardstanding which was great, yes the electric hookup was further than our cable reached but I do not see why the previous reviewer saw this as a problem because the site owners had left out an extension for our use that we plugged into. We would definitely come back here again.

Great site with easy access

Great little CL with easy access to Cheddar and other local places, we spent 2 nights here, the welcome was lovely, gave is a choice of locations to park up, and showed us where everything was, the only hard standing pitch is a little out of the way, but its serviceable, easy access for water for campervans/motorhomes, and beautiful views over the cheddar gorge now for the negative points, some of the pitches you will need an extra long EHU lead, there is a slight slope to the field, but nothing that a standard set of leveling chocks couldn't sort on our campervan. and the owner did say (although we were not affected by it) if there is heavy rain, then the grass pitches can get a little wet and slippy, but then again this is a grass field so what more can you expect. oh and I almost forgot to add, there is a small honesty shop, with fresh apple juice, and other preserves, we had a bottle of the apple juice and it was lovely :)

Lovely CL

I am happy to leave a review for this lovely site. I think the other reviewer who only left 3 stars was a bit mean. Its a basic site with no amenities but that's how we like it. Its a large field that's cut regularly with plenty of space. It has a few bumps but I wouldn't say it is sloping ! It's just off a country lane which is a little busy but it didn't bother us. We've visited twice now and will stop here again next time we visit Somerset. Celia is lovely and left us to it - communication was good beforehand. The site is about 2 miles outside of Cheddar village and very central to visit many different places.

Close to Cheddar.

Only hard standing for one pitch. Extra long hook up required from the hard standing to the EHU. Sloping field, need a four wheel drive in wet conditions. Owners very pleasant and welcoming. Very well situated for all local attractions.
